Opinions on my shortlist... 13 weeks to go!!!
We are going back and forth on all of these names and have had mixed reactions to them, hoping to gauge what the general opinions are😊

For boys we have ...
Emrys
Iver
Parry
Perry
Remus

And for girls we have....
Eliot
Gloria
Lumi
Pepper
Saffy

Lumi is nice - unique but not weird

Not to jump straight on the negative but the girls list: Eliot is a boys name and Pepper ???!!!
Saffy is a lovely nickname but how about Saffier for the full name.
Gloria to be is not yet gone full circle down to the younger generations again

For your boys list I love Remus though it does make me think of Harry Potter

Emrys - not to my taste. Vaguely aware of it as a name but not keen.

Iver - makes me think of Viking's. Do you have an Scandinavia blood? It's a nice enough name though. And the more I think about it the more I like it :)

Parry - no

Perry - also no

Remus - I adore the character in the books and think it's a lovely name. It will get lots of HP comments though I'm sure

Eliot - I just think of it as a boys name though know it can be both
Gloria - my favourite out of your girls. Really lovely
Lumi - it's quite nice
Pepper - no, she will just get pepper pig
Saffy- also a no, I don't like this name at all

Honestly the only half decent names of the lot are Emrys and Gloria

Pepper/peppa is an annoying cartoon pig

Parry is a surname

Saffy is a nice nickname but too cutesy on its own.

Eliot is a boys name.

Only like Emrys from your boys list
Saffy as a nn - with the name Saffron
Dont like any of the others on your girls list.

I like Emrys and Remus for a boy!

And Lumi and Eliot for a girl. Seems Eliot is becoming more popular for girls?

Iver is spelt Ivor or Ivar. I like it. Emrys is nice too.

Lumi is nice as a nn for Lumen.

Iver and Gloria are the best of your lists.

Emrys: seen this a few times recently and I can’t take to it as a boy’s name at all.
Iver: not my cup of tea but it’s ok, I like Ivo better.
Parry: ok
Perry: I prefer this to Parry.
Remus: nope, too Harry Potter for me.

And for girls we have....
Eliot: definitely not, a boy’s name spelt wrong.
Gloria: ok, but a bit too barmaidy
Lumi: I like this although it’s unusual.
Pepper: not keen
Saffy: like, but as a nickname for Saffron or Sapphire both of which I like.

Perry and Saffron/Lumi get my vote.

Remus - if I had to choose.

None of the girls names.

Emrys is great. I know a Saffia nn Saffy which is pretty.

Emrys - I keep seeing this recently but I don't really like it
Iver - cool but could lead to teasing
Parry - looks like a typo
Perry - this is ok but reminds me of Kevin and Perry
Remus - think of harry potter but he's a good character so 🤷

And for girls we have....
Eliot - this is a boys name
Gloria - hate this name!
Lumi - really pretty
Pepper - pig
Saffy - short for what?

I like Emrys, Ivor, Saffy as a nickname for Saffron, and Gloria.

I really like Iver & Gloria best.

Iver - horrible spelling, but Ivor or Ifor, or Ivo are fine
Parry - OK - is it a family surname?
Perry - OK as long as you don't go on to have a Kevin
Remus - OK

Eliot - I'd move this to your boy's list. Not nice on a girl
Gloria - lovely (and a nice nod to the Queen)
Lumi - dislike, unless you are Chinese (is it Scandinavian as well?)
Pepper - Pig
Saffy - OK

For boys we have ...
Emrys - quite like it
Iver - not keen. I just think Ivor the Engine
Parry - not keen
Perry - quite like it
Remus - a bit Harry Potter. Quite like Remy?

And for girls we have....
Eliot - not keen for a girl. Love it for a boy but with 2 ts
Gloria - it's ok. I have a slight issue with it seeming arrogant (like, 'oh, I'm so glorious') but I'm aware that's my own insanity!
Lumi - really don't like this. Never heard it before.
Pepper - not keen. Seems more like a nickname.
Saffy - don't like it on its own but love Saffron
