Not sure if I'm being silly with this one but how do you pronounce Amos?

Ay- moss

I’ve never heard of it but I’d pronounce it like the end of a spanish word a (like apple)- moss

That's how it's pronounced in Germany, and probably various other countries, but in the UK it's ay (as in day) - moss.

It doesn't rhyme with anus because the stress pattern is different, but it's the same long a sound. The second syllable is moss rather than mus.
