We have 3 kids and are struggling to name baby boy 4!

We have : izaak, amos (goes by moe), iona

We're choosing between
Solomon
Magnus
Benjamin

Is magnus too trendy?

My 10 year olds middle name is Magnus and I wish I’d used as his main name. Although we have Swedish heritage so it made sense. I love it!!

What's your sons first name? We're thinking of calling him Gus for short, which i really love too.

Leo

There’s a Gus in my sons year - I like it. It’s not too mainstream. There weren’t many Leos when I named mine Leo!

Magnus is lovely

Magnus is lovely but I wouldn't shorten to Gus.

I'd call him Fergus if you want nn Gus. It doesn't follow from Magnus at all, imo.

But from your list I'd pick Solomon.

Solomon is my fave from your list. Absolutely lovely.
I also like Gideon and Silas if you’re into biblical names.

All good names, Magnus is especially fab! Benjamin is a safe classic. Solomon I like the least but that’s just personal taste, it’s still a good solid name.

Magnus from your list. Gus can totally be a nn from this name too.
