i like it, but prefer luna. sorry Flowers

Wolfiefan · 06/10/2018 17:09

I have a Lumie alarm clock so I wouldn’t.

RavenWings · 06/10/2018 17:11

It's making me think of hair removal. I know there's Lumea, which might be where the association comes from.

Talith · 06/10/2018 17:11

Looney, Gloomy - doesn't have great connotations to my ear!

What about Electra if you want a luminescent name? Grin

Haworthia · 06/10/2018 17:12

Or the Lumea hair removal system.

Don’t do it. It’s sounds like a mash up between Rumi and Luna.

KinderBueno5 · 06/10/2018 17:15

Lumi is a surname so I would say no!

SadieAB9 · 06/10/2018 17:28

I like it!

Sungura · 06/10/2018 18:42

I liked it but never thought of the the other connotations, so now I think not. Too bad. 😑👎 It's a unique and attractive name.

Sophronia · 06/10/2018 18:47

Makes me think of the word looming

BroomstickOfLove · 06/10/2018 18:49

It's the name of our Christmas elf, although in her case it's short for Lumikki.

Summerfalls · 06/10/2018 18:49

I like it, I also have a lumi alarm clock and light box but doesn’t make me associate it when I think of the name. Also like Luna too

meditrina · 06/10/2018 18:50

If you are Chinese, then great, and it would work in other parts of the world (easy to pronounce but the tones will be lost)

Not so sure it would work otherwise.

BretonStripe · 06/10/2018 18:51

Loo-me? Nooooo!

People might think it's short for lumiere, that candle stick out of Beauty and the Beast.

frogsoup · 06/10/2018 18:51

I know a little Finnish Lumi. I think it's a lovely name!

ArrivisteRevolt · 06/10/2018 18:52

God, no. Sounds like a Pokemon card.

raviolidreaming · 06/10/2018 19:32

And here.

HopeGarden · 06/10/2018 21:03

I quite like it.

swimbikerun123 · 06/10/2018 21:07

It's Finnish for snow...I knew a Finnish Lumi and she was very sweet.
It's a lovely name.

Singlenotsingle · 06/10/2018 21:09

Loony?

OrdinaryGirl · 06/10/2018 21:48

Another Lumie alarm clock owner here. Also agree it could be misheard as 'loony'.
