Thoughts on my shortlist?!

Hi all!

Only just found out I am expecting DC2. I've been looking through the names I had long listed for DC1 and picking my favourites.
Which of these do you prefer...

Boys
Emrys
Jonah
Prince
Roman

Girls
Etta
Hazel
Luca
Reina
Romy

Please don't use Prince. That's a hell of a name to saddle a small boy with.

The boys' names aren't my thing at all, except for Luca which is on the girls' list but is actually a boys' name.

I like Hazel from your girls' list.

Emrys - Welsh. Will get shortened to Em.
Jonah - look him up. No
Prince - no. Might be ok for a dog.
Roman - not sure. Polanski association.

Girls
Etta - Lamb
Hazel - ok
Luca - no
Reina - Rayner. no
Romy - ok

Roman and Romy are ok, the others aren't great (IMO).

Mallory (girl)

Jonah is great, as is Luca (for a boy). Romy is nice as a nickname for Rosemary and I like Etta as a nickname too, for Henrietta or Juliet or even Violet.

Congrats on your pregnancy OP. In general these names aren't really my taste, but Jonah is quite nice. Hazel is my favourite of your girls names. Luca is definitely a boys name imo.

Boys: love Emrys and Jonah, HATE Prince and Roman

Girls:
Etta - love
Hazel - nice
Luca - associate more as a boy’s name so wouldn’t choose it myself although nothing inherently wrong with it. Maybe Lucia?
Reina - not a massive fan
Romy - don’t like

I like Emrys if you have Welsh blodd - I think I'd get fed up of the question though.
I like Johah
Prince is especially awful.

Hazel is the only one of your girls's names I like. Well, I don't really like it, but it is better than the rest.

Prince is horrendous. Luca is a male name to my mind. Lucy or Lucia would work better for a girl/woman.
