WIBU to call my baby Caspian?

I'm really struggling to find boys names that I like. We have a great list of girls names and basically nothing on the boys list.

DP has descended into madness and is just reading names from the most popular list - but I don't want to call my baby Oliver, Muhammad or Charlie.

I like Caspian but every time I mention this irl I get "like the sea?" Hmm

Maybe I should stop asking for opinions but I want to know what the NM jury thinks.

You would be U not to I reckon! Amazing name.

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup · 05/10/2018 11:10

I really like it!

QueenOfCatan · 06/10/2018 00:46

I adore Caspian, and Caspar. Caspar is number one on my list but dh will compromise with Caspian which I'm happy with!
The Narnia association is a good one too.

safariboot · 06/10/2018 00:52

I'd assume any "Caspian" has a parent who was a Narnia fan, but that's no big deal.

Sungura · 06/10/2018 02:15

I like it quite a lot. Handsome name.

IvanMashPotatoIvanDoTheTwist · 06/10/2018 07:43

I really like it.

I also like Casper (flashbacks of ghost crushes here too - but please tell me the crush was when they danced and he became a boy?!?!)

I also like Cassius.

Cass is a cool teenage nn

Branleuse · 06/10/2018 07:46

Caspian is great. I like it and i know one. Its a bit alternative arty MC, but a lot of cool names are imo

Sorry not keen. Makes me think of Capri sun or something scientific. Not sure why maybe I’m just weird! If you love it do it

Branleuse · 06/10/2018 08:42

Makes me think of Capri sun or something scientific

Surely this just makes it even better?

BadderWolf · 06/10/2018 08:42

I like it. And although there are associations they are by no means negative ones. Not like Nigel, Boris or Theresa (for example)!

basquiat · 06/10/2018 11:34

Branleuse Grin

Not if you have none in the house though. Imagine your DS gets in at 4.15pm, you say "How was school Caspian?"... Caspian... Capri Sun... Oh my God I want a Capri Sun!

mimibunz · 06/10/2018 11:38

It’s a great name!

Myusername101z · 06/10/2018 11:42

Love it !

stressedwoman · 06/10/2018 12:22

I like it but what about Cassius?

Sunflower321 · 06/10/2018 13:34

The meaning of Cassius isn't as nice.

penguinpurple · 06/10/2018 13:42

I absolutely love it and it was on our list but I was worried it would give off ridiculously poncey/posh vibes. Maybe it doesn't seeing the love it's getting here....

Sunflower321 · 06/10/2018 14:10

It's beautiful!

TwigTheWonderKid · 06/10/2018 14:19

I love it and, as I'm not going to have any more babies, it would be very rude of you not use it!

GooodMythicalMorning · 06/10/2018 14:28

Love it. But then I am a narnia fan too. Id call a ds that if we were having any more.

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 06/10/2018 14:29

I like it. It beats Reepicheep and Puddleglum. Wink

stressedwoman · 07/10/2018 00:07

@Sunflower321 I've just googled it, my goodness you're right! Really ruined the name for me now!

Justbackfromnewwine · 07/10/2018 00:33

I know a Caspian.
Makes me think of Prince Caspian

LeeMiller · 07/10/2018 10:43

First thought is Narnia.

I find it a bit too much, personally. I think you'd need to have the right surname to go with it.

Sunflower321 · 07/10/2018 12:01

I find it a bit too much

Too much of what Confused?
