Is this too strange for a girl or is it usable?

Isn't that something u get before a migraine

I met a toddler Aura quite recently. Don’t love it, but don’t hate it. Misheard the mother (who was calling to her), assumed she was saying Aurora initially.

Ha...migraine was my first thought too!

Aura is a quirky nickname for Aurora but not sure I like it as a stand alone name. It feels very unfinished to me x

It's odd, not quite a name. I would assume it's a shortened Aurora or Laura.

I know someone who named their baby Aura and my mind went straight to oral (maybe says more about me than their choices in names but there you go)

Aurora, Aurelia, Aube, Aurelie, Laura are all nice names.

Aura just makes me think migraine.

It’s much easier to pronounce than Aurora (I’m mystified as to why that name is so popular) but it still sounds a bit off to me.

How do you feel about Laura? Or other names with a similar sound- Cora? Norah?

It's a no from me.

I've always liked it, but thought it would be confused with Laura. To me, it sounds quite mystical and New Agey. It also makes me think of gold.

Had never heard of it at all till a girl on my Instagram called her daughter Aura last month
