Is this too strange for a girl or is it usable?

Isn't that something u get before a migraine

SemperIdem · 02/10/2018 14:27

I met a toddler Aura quite recently. Don’t love it, but don’t hate it. Misheard the mother (who was calling to her), assumed she was saying Aurora initially.

campion · 02/10/2018 14:28

Ha...migraine was my first thought too!

Not a nice thought ...believe you me.

Thumbs down I'm afraid.

MrsEricBana · 02/10/2018 14:29

Aurora yes, Aura prob not. Alba?

LusaCole · 02/10/2018 14:30

I prefer Aurora.

RebeccaCloud9 · 02/10/2018 14:31

I like but thinking ahead to the teenage years, sounds a bit like oral.

ReggieKrayDoYouKnowMyName · 02/10/2018 14:32

Looks like you’ve missed a letter off of Laura. It’s a no from me.

DaniC18 · 02/10/2018 15:09

Aura is a quirky nickname for Aurora but not sure I like it as a stand alone name. It feels very unfinished to me x

missmouse101 · 02/10/2018 15:10

No! Cara much better.

Rebellia · 02/10/2018 15:26

Aura sounds like oral. Cue lots of teasing in secondary school.

Aurora is nice though.

albert92 · 02/10/2018 15:26

Don't think it, seems like something is missing

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 02/10/2018 15:36

It's odd, not quite a name. I would assume it's a shortened Aurora or Laura.

Cbeebiesrehab · 02/10/2018 15:53

I know someone who named their baby Aura and my mind went straight to oralBlush (maybe says more about me than their choices in names but there you go)

worstmotherintheworld · 02/10/2018 15:56

It looks like a few letters have been left out.

florenceheadache · 02/10/2018 16:04

What you get before a seizure...not a name.

Polkasq · 02/10/2018 16:08

Woo and migraines I'm afraid.

Cora, Laura, Aurora all nice though.

LeeMiller · 02/10/2018 17:24

Aurora, Aurelia, Aube, Aurelie, Laura are all nice names.

Aura just makes me think migraine.

SneakySneaky · 02/10/2018 18:16

It’s much easier to pronounce than Aurora (I’m mystified as to why that name is so popular) but it still sounds a bit off to me.

How do you feel about Laura? Or other names with a similar sound- Cora? Norah?

SylvanianFrenemies · 07/10/2018 15:34

Migraine AuraConfused
Seizure AuraConfusedConfused
Not a name

DramaAlpaca · 07/10/2018 23:06

It's a no from me.

Cattenberg · 07/10/2018 23:10

I've always liked it, but thought it would be confused with Laura. To me, it sounds quite mystical and New Agey. It also makes me think of gold.

MrsFoxPlus4 · 08/10/2018 00:57

Had never heard of it at all till a girl on my Instagram called her daughter Aura last month
