Final shortlist help: Hugo, Leo, Joe/Joseph, Ben, Luke or Evan?

Hi, I would really love some help on deciding a name for our baby boy due any day now. I know many will think it’s not the most exciting list but we really like and agree on all these names which hasn't been easy, lol! We want a strong, masculine but simple boy’s name. Our surname is long so we’ve discounted lots of other names which just didn’t go. I’m really interested to hear your honest opinions on our list and if you have a favourite/strong dislike from it. Don’t mind any negative opinions at all, I’d rather hear them before we make our final decision! Thanks in advance.

Everyone is Leo at the moment. I know at least three baby Leos

I like Luke :)

Joseph nn Joe, or Benjamin nn Ben.

I like all of them except Hugo.

Luke. But I’m biased. They’re all nice names.

I like Luke and Joseph best from your list. Ben feels like a nickname, Hugo makes me think of a dog, Leo is very popular now and I'm not too keen on Evan. It's a bit bland imo x

Thanks so much for all the replies, have really enjoyed reading through them all. Really mixed responses, so not sure it’s making a decision any easier, lol! Interesting that many remark on Leo’s popularity. I have only ever met one, he’s about 6 now. I work with babies and toddlers as part of my job and haven’t come across any in my area, interesting how names can be so localised.

I really like Hugo and Evan.
Joseph is nice but I wouldn't use it as it's so popular now.
Leo is okay.
I think Ben and Luke are boring names now.

Joseph is my favourite the rest are nice, agree Leo really popular here as well.

I love all these names and would use them.
Leo and Hugo are fine but not names I would choose personally.

Leo - great name but very popular.

Luke - it's okay but feels dated to me.

Joseph - just reminds me of Joey Essex. But over all not a bad name if not a bit meh.

Ben - really like the name but again it's just meh.

Hugo - surprised it's on your list as it's isn't consistent with your other choices. Bit try hard for me.

Evan - great strong name that isn't over used or boring and predictable.

Love Luke. Also Joseph is a good name.
Prefer Hugh to Hugo.
