Girls name help- still not convinced

Lots and lots of lovely girls names out there but haven't found one that I really love yet or where I think yes, that's the name for us. Love solid, traditional boys names but find the traditional girls names a bit boring or over used. Names we like are :

Sophia
Sadie
Lily
Ava

Have liked these for a few years but now by time we're having baby these are all very common. I did like Edie but DH not keen and I like some of the unusual names like Bo & Coco but DH is dead set against anything like that. Any suggestions?!

Lilian or Lilias instead of Lily for a girl?
Sadie is a diminutive of Sarah. Is that any good?
Serena or Selena instead of Sophia if you want something less common?
I'm not keen on Ava. Evelyn? Anna? Nina? Emma?

My daughter has a classmate called Iolanthe which is a lovely unusual name.

I don't think Sadie is a common name? I only know 2 - one teen and one adult.

I love Sadie, Ava and Sophia. Lily is nice enough too.

cptartapp · 28/09/2018 21:00

I'd say all your list bar Sadie are overused ironically.
How about Natalie, Alicia, Erin, Louisa, Faye, Meredith, Esther, Erica?

Yellowsunredroses · 28/09/2018 21:06

I like Sadie from your list. The others are overused IMO

Chlo22 · 28/09/2018 21:24

Thanks for the replies and all the suggestions. Lots of lovely ones - Esther, Stella, Elise are all lovely- but can't imagine my child actually being called that if that makes sense. Interesting that Sadie has had a good response. We've liked that name for years so maybe we should stick with it (and stop being so fussy!). I think it's because we live near Essex and Ive heard a Saaaay deeeee's and it makes me cringe but I guess that could be the same of any name

Sophia Lily is beautiful.💕

Glumglowworm · 30/09/2018 19:44

Ava, Sophia and lily are all extremely popular

Sadie is unusual but instantly recognisable. I really like it. I only know one, a teenager, who is a really lovely girl, so that possibly influences my opinion of her name

LeeMiller · 30/09/2018 21:17

I've always liked the name Sadie. On its own, or as a nickname for Sarah.

Ava, Lilly and Sophia are nice names but very popular at the moment. Ava in particular will really date, I think.

DaniC18 · 30/09/2018 21:44

I like Sadie best out of your list x

dw23 · 30/09/2018 22:29

Hate to say this but Sadie just sounds like sadist to me Hmm, what about Zadie for a bit of a twist and something lesser known? Zadie is one of my faves cos I love Zadie Smith (who was christened Sadie but changed it) but my husband hates it.
