If I had to choose, it would probably be Alina (but only if
this was pronounced Aleena not A-line-a. )

Not too keen on the others tbh.

khakoney · 28/09/2018 13:22

Thanks Shadow1234,
thats the pronounciation Al(ee)na

I like Isabella and Alina

MeggyD · 28/09/2018 13:29

Not Marlene !

DaniC18 · 28/09/2018 13:52

I really like Isabella but know it's popularity may be off putting. Not too keen on the others, really like Elaina rather than Alina x

laseo · 28/09/2018 14:28

I find the popularity of Isabella off-putting of the name, I think it's really overused!

I don't like Marlene or Alina, sorry.

How do you pronounce Tasia?

Peachbubble · 28/09/2018 14:57

Prefer Marlena to Marlene, not keen on the others really. I used to like Isabella, but there are so many now.

MollyHuaCha · 28/09/2018 15:09

Marlene - 'only fools and horses'
Isabella - popular for a reason - it's lovely
Tasia - I'm hearing 'taser'
Alina - it's ok

Rebellia · 28/09/2018 15:15

Like Isabella and Alina.

Hate Marlene (very dated, 50s/60s).

Never heard of Tasia before - do you pronounce it Tay-zee-a? Because if so, it makes me think of Taser (I.e. The machine policemen use to subdue criminals with an electric shock)

DreamsofJacaranda · 28/09/2018 15:16

Isabella is the only one I like.

Marlene is awful.

BigusBumus · 28/09/2018 15:22

Is it Mar-leen or Mar-lay-na? I instantly thing of Only Fools & Horses though.

Isabella is sweet but there are millions.

Tasia is like a PP said "taser"

Alina is ok-ish, but made up surely? Life time of people saying, "Sorry what? Helena?"

kaylanelson · 28/09/2018 16:11

Tasia as it's a bit different and very cute ! Would you consider the spelling Tasya I have a friend names this with this spelling and it's gorgeous 😋

LeeMiller · 28/09/2018 17:17

Why is that the choice, if you aren't keen?

Isabella is nicest, the downside is that Isabella/Isabelle/Isobel are all very popular. Alina second.

I also hear Taser for Tasia. Really not a fan of Marlene, especially if pronounced Mar-leen.

Sungura · 28/09/2018 17:42

Alina. I like Maura, Maureen, Moira, and Maryam all better than Marlene. I never understood what was so great about Isabella. Tasia is all right. Similar to Tasha.

Laac · 28/09/2018 17:49

Isabella.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 28/09/2018 20:11

Only like Isabella.

AlliKaneErikson · 29/09/2018 00:43

I know of an Anastasia called Tasia for short and I quite like it!

moredoll · 29/09/2018 02:08

Isabella

Sophronia · 29/09/2018 07:30

Alina

BurtTyrannosaurusMacklin · 29/09/2018 07:36

Bigus Alina is not “made up” it is actually quite well known in many Eastern European countries. A name not being common in one place does not make it “surely made up”.

starkid · 29/09/2018 09:25

I like Alina :)

khakoney · 05/10/2018 08:25

Thanks all and sorry for late reply,
seems Alina won in the list.
