Please help I’m going round in circles between the names Hannah and Freya and would welcome your neutral opinions.

Our surname is Turner. Hannah Turner or Freya Turner?

freya personally. i like how it sounds with your surname. they seem to match

DancerOnIce · 27/09/2018 17:51

I think both sound lovely with your surname. You’ll get a lot of people on here saying how popular Freya is, but it’s not popular in our area at all (and it might not bother you either way anyway)

glasshalfsomething · 27/09/2018 18:01

Hannah is just lovely. Not too common but easy to spell and pronounce.

piggie88 · 27/09/2018 19:10

I think Freya is a lovely name.

AnyaMoondial · 27/09/2018 19:11

Freya is lovely. Hannah is nice too but I know several of varying ages. There do seem to be loads of them, at least round here.

Citylivingwithdogs · 27/09/2018 19:12

Freya. There are a lot of Hannahs around; haven’t come across any Freyas.

Sunflower321 · 27/09/2018 19:14

I much prefer Hannah

17caterpillars1mouse · 27/09/2018 19:15

Love Hannah. Freya is nice too but Hannah is more classical whereas Freya seems a bit faddy

SleepWarrior · 27/09/2018 19:37

Hannah is lovely. Really not keen on Freya for some reason.

saganorenscarandcoat · 27/09/2018 19:45

Hannah Turner is a lovely name

MikeUniformMike · 27/09/2018 19:46

Hannah sounds better with your surname, and I prefer it. Freya was lovely for the first three or four I heard of it but now seems overused. Hannah is a classic.
Han is better than Frey.

Earslaps · 27/09/2018 19:51

Around here Freya is quite popular, Hannah less so. I love Hannah, it's so timeless.

Toofle · 27/09/2018 19:55

Freya if she's born on a Friday.

Icklepup · 27/09/2018 19:59

Hannah Turner

MewithaC · 27/09/2018 21:51

Definitely Hannah. I have a huge dislike of freya, sounds somewhere between frayed and fray bentos (pie). Just not an attractive name.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 27/09/2018 21:57

Ooh OP, I love them both, but Hannah Turner goes a little better, I think.

DramaAlpaca · 27/09/2018 21:59

I think Hannah would be my preference.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 27/09/2018 22:01

I much prefer the name Freya but Hannah Turner sounds better

Sophronia · 27/09/2018 22:59

Hannah

tessiegirl · 27/09/2018 23:04

Freya

BakerBear · 27/09/2018 23:08

I think Anna is better than Hannah

Shadow1234 · 27/09/2018 23:57

Freya for me. Both are nice though

SundayGirls · 28/09/2018 00:11

Freya looks more elegant with your surname.

Hannah Turner looks (to me) perfectly pleasant but a sturdy, flat kind of name.

Freya Turner is definitely more elegant looking and sounding. I don't mean elegant in a "posh" way, just more... I don't know... feminine/unique/stronger in a less obvious way.

IAmALamp · 28/09/2018 00:23

Hannah. More classic. Freya will date

Skt10 · 28/09/2018 07:54

Thanks all. After a count up looks as if Hannah is the favourite.
I just hope she doesn’t get called Spanner Turner but think I’m overthinking it now!
