What do people think of this name? I loved it when I was pregnant 1st time but had a girl then went off it and now I'm 21 weeks I kind of like it again.

I know a little Eric, it's a nice name.

ViserionTheDragon · 26/09/2018 22:53

Great name, very underrated IMO.

RavenWings · 26/09/2018 22:54

Love it. Agree that it's very underrated.

DramaAlpaca · 26/09/2018 22:57

I like it spelled Erik. It looks cooler & more modern that way to me.

GreenTulips · 26/09/2018 22:59

New school initiative
ERIC everyone reads in class

BackforGood · 26/09/2018 23:22

To me, it is a really old fashioned name, so, by that logic from my great age it means it is probably ime for it to become fashionable again, like all the Reggies, Stanleys, Iris's, and Lily's . Smile

ShotsFired · 26/09/2018 23:22

Makes me think of Bananaman!

Shadow1234 · 27/09/2018 01:57

Well, if its good enough for simon cowell........
Im not too keen tbh, but if you like it, then you should go for it.

Polkasq · 27/09/2018 12:54

I like it.

Justtheoneplease · 27/09/2018 12:57

Reminds me of Morecambe and Wise, showing my age but just don't like it, sorry

iris89 · 27/09/2018 13:19

I like it, think it's underrated.

imnottoofussed · 27/09/2018 13:22

Makes me think of Simon Cowell as that's his sons name

elmo1980 · 27/09/2018 13:22

I love it, we wanted it for ds2 but then we worried it might get shortened to rick. That put me off but I wish it hadn't.

GraceMarks · 27/09/2018 14:08

Erik is a better spelling. It would make him sound like a Viking.

AdaColeman · 27/09/2018 14:12

I love it, but prefer this spelling, Erik.

RuthW · 27/09/2018 15:48

Dd would have been Eric if she was a boy 21 years ago.

iklboo · 27/09/2018 15:51

I like it (even though I'm old enough to remember the song 'Eric The Half A Bee' Blush)

GrumpySausage · 27/09/2018 15:54

I like it. DH vetoed it as his boss had a son called Eric so would be a bit odd. I know of another bit called Eric as DS Nursery and always think it is a lovely name.

anitagreen · 27/09/2018 16:05

I hate it reminds me of a very old smelly man and I have no idea why I'm so sorry 🤦🏽‍♀️

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 27/09/2018 16:51

I knows it been in fashion for a while but I just don't care for it. To me it's like Brian, Colin, Barry and Alan.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 27/09/2018 18:49

💙 Eric ! 😄

Oh, I see you've met my XP. Smile If it hadn't been for him I'd probably quite like the name myself! I agree with pps that Erik is a nicer spelling. I think it had a vogue in the 90s in the US - I remember the little boy in the third Jurassic Park film was called Eric. He managed to survive alone for ages on an island full of dinosaurs, and DS really wanted to be him!
