Already have a little Margot (2) and was set on Juno for my bump but DH has just reminded me of Isadora which we were considering for DD1.

i prefer isadora x

juneau · 21/09/2018 18:57

Well, I was going to say Juno, for obvious reasons, but I think Margot and Juno are a bit rhymey, whereas Margot and Isadora sound great together.

Hernamewasl0la · 21/09/2018 18:59

Margot and Isadora do go really well, Margot and Juno not so much. Just trying to pick the best name for the future and not for when they’re a sib set

What about Juniper nn Juno?

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 21/09/2018 19:04

Love Isadora

Eleanor90 · 21/09/2018 19:06

Isadora is incredible!

roratone · 21/09/2018 19:06

Reminds me of Wizardora

ConsiderHerWaysAndOthers · 21/09/2018 19:06

Margot and Isadora sound lovely together. Juno just makes me think of that film about the pregnant teen. Brilliant movie but it’s not really the association you want for your new little bundle of joy.

overagain · 21/09/2018 19:08

Love both. If we didn't have a cat called Juno I'd be considering it for this one (why didn't I have the foresight to name the cat something I wouldn't call a child!).

I like Juno Isadora as a combo.

lilax · 21/09/2018 19:32

Juno is by far nicer in my opinion - like a PP's suggestion of Juniper nn Juno too:)

Racecardriver · 21/09/2018 19:33

Isadpra l. Juno makes me think of the film.

PinkFlamingo888 · 22/09/2018 00:45

I’ve just been watching A Series of Unfortunate Events and one of the characters is Isadora and I really like it

Meebs · 22/09/2018 00:50

Prefer Juno but Isadora is also lovely! Juniper is so sweet!!! Shock

TheFluffyHippo · 22/09/2018 02:27

My first thought was Wizadora too

MakeItStopNeville · 22/09/2018 02:32

Whenever I see the name Isadora, the “De de de Dora” part of the DtE theme tune comes into my head but with Isadora instead. And Swiper, no Swiping.

So, Juno for me. I really like that name.

chipsandgin · 22/09/2018 02:41

Juno is a brilliant name. If I’d had girls that would have been the one (it was top of the list both times.

Not a fan of Isadora - although Isa as a nn is ok, the Dora part (especially if used as a nn) is very popular, plus instantly makes me hear the Dora th Explorer tune in my head - which used to drive me bonkers when DS2 was obsessed with it!

17caterpillars1mouse · 22/09/2018 07:16

Love Isadora

Not a fan of Juno Junk all plus as others have mentioned it's very rhymey with your DDs name

Pastaagain78 · 22/09/2018 07:20

Juniper is lovely

Cosmoa · 22/09/2018 08:20

Juniper nn Juno is lovely. Or just Juno. I think it's less frilly than Isadora. Which also makes me think of Wizadora. The theme tune has been stuck in my head since I read the name just now!

Hernamewasl0la · 22/09/2018 19:39

cosmoa yes my only problem with Isadora is that it’s very frilly and I usually hate that in names
Really don’t like Juniper but thanks for the suggestions

Isadora. I think Juno is a little similar to Margot, maybe it's the 'oh' sounds at the end.

Sungura · 22/09/2018 19:53

Isadora. What other names have you been considering?

Hernamewasl0la · 22/09/2018 20:47

sunugra to be honest we’ve only considered Isadora and Juno

OP posts:
Hernamewasl0la · 22/09/2018 20:49

Isadora was a possibility for Margot and I heard Juno recently in a picture book of Roman myths (we sound very pretentious, promise we’re not- my MIL who loves mythology gifted it to us)
