I’d be inclined to spell it Meeka if you really like it. I’d have thought Mika was pronounced My-kah or mick-ah

Yeap, I like it! As a mum with a DD with unusual name I can tell you it doesn't matter how it's spelt it's always going to be mispronounced, so just spell it the way you want!

There was a girl called Mica in the school I used to teach in, who pronounced it Meeka. Incidentally, she was in the recent Winter Olympics in the two woman bobsleigh and her partner was also called Mica (but pronounced differently).

Mika Brzezinski is a well-known reporter/cable news star in the U. S. She pronounces it Meeka. I do like it well enough. It's cute. But the start of the word 'meek' makes me think of a wee mouse hiding in a church. Haha. 😄😄🐭⛪

Yes I adore it! It's my friends name and we were due within days of each other earlier this year so I couldn't use it 😭 felt like it would have been a bit weird.

I chose another 4 letter name ending in ka though which I love even more!

My first thought is the singer, but the sound is nice. I also love Mila.

I read it as Mee-ka but I thought of the singer Mika Whois male.

I'm Finnish, and Mika is very much a male name here. I really can't picture a girl with the name, but that's just me!
