What are/were your Grandmothers called?

Following from the grandad thread because it’s fascinating.

I had a granny Jessie.
Nana Elizabeth & Nancy.
Great gran Cecilia & Bessie but I can’t temebe Bessie’s full name.

Filomena and Amelia,

Paternal: Barbara Joan.

Maternal: Ruth Brunhilde. She was German, and in Germany they called her Brunhilde Ruth. I'm fairly certain that was the "correct" way around, IE what was on her birth certificate. She lived a lot of her life in Scotland as well, and was known as Bonnie among my Scottish relatives (via DGF) and friends.

Both Margaret one was Margaret rosemary

Everyone was called Margaret and all it's variants!

Emma and Ellen

Valerie Jean and Elizabeth. Great grandma was Beatrice Ivy...probably quite a popular name combination now.

Jessie and Jennie

Their first and middle names:

Massively outing because it's so unusual, but she was one of nine so I think they were running out of names... Tanis!

I'm doing family tree at the moment and there are lots of Henrietta.

My paternal GM Julie, which was quite unusual I think she was born about 1904.

Dh were Kathleen & Helena.

My grandmothers were Lydia and Lucy Helen. Without consulting the family tree I only know the names of two gt grandmothers - Mary Ann and Eliza.
