Fraser or Stewart

These are the only 2 names that DH and I can agree on- and even that’s taken us 39 weeks!! I’d prefer to spell Stewart as Stuart, but he claims that he doesn’t like that spelling at all. Which would you go for?
Thanks!

Fraser. Or Stuart if you have to use it. But Fraser is nicer. IMO

lightonthewater · 07/09/2018 09:26

Fraser

Isadora2007 · 07/09/2018 09:26

With his spelling of stewart you get Stewie which is yuck. And I’d say adults would associate that with Family Guy. Kids will Associate stewart/Stuart with the minions.

So Fraser is better!

kenandbarbie · 07/09/2018 09:30

Both nice but I prefer Fraser

kenandbarbie · 07/09/2018 09:31

Also I know a lot of Stewart / Stuarts and I'm in my 40s if that makes any difference

5000KallaxHoles · 07/09/2018 09:33

Fraser will get an eternity of them being called Frasier, or spelt with a Z or "like in House of Fraser" (unless they go bust)

Nicer name but just the heads up on it (brother's name)!

5000KallaxHoles · 07/09/2018 09:33

Also we still remind him of the teenage period where he tried to declare "Fraz" as his nickname which was just bloody awful.

Isadora2007 · 07/09/2018 09:37

Who’s likely to watch frasier now though? Family guy is current as are minions.

Honflyr · 07/09/2018 09:43

Fraser. Stewart has always felt like a bit of a "wet/limp" name to me, sorry!! Fraser is very handsome and mature, but also cute as it reminds me of Fraser Bears.

Peachbubble · 07/09/2018 10:39

Fraser

Aprilshowersnowastorm · 07/09/2018 10:40

Fraser.
Not Stew.

Poor bairn!!

I'd think that - but people STILL mispronounce the name constantly! It's like total mental block territory! Even the young kid named it in one of my children's classes in infant school gets the Frasier thing apparently according to his dad!

MusicLOUD · 07/09/2018 10:51

Stewart and Stuart are pn differently surely. St-Eww-Art vs Stu-Art. Eww va Ooo.

I don't like the Eww sound.

Stuart is much nicer.

Sunflower321 · 07/09/2018 11:32

Stuart

Sungura · 07/09/2018 11:42

Fraser. Definitely.

AnyaMoondial · 07/09/2018 11:48

I like Stewart. And I prefer it spelled like that too.

Sophronia · 07/09/2018 12:19

I like Stewart too.

Thistles24 · 07/09/2018 12:44

Thanks all! Looks like Fraser is most a favourite amongst the masses- I’ll keep working on DH!

jjemimapuddleduck · 07/09/2018 12:52

Angus
Sorley
Ruariadh
Innes
Hamish
Struan
Ramsay

jjemimapuddleduck · 07/09/2018 12:52

?

Much prefer Fraser from your 2 options. But there are loads of fab boys names!

jjemimapuddleduck · 07/09/2018 12:53

*Scottish boys names!

moredoll · 07/09/2018 23:13

prefer Fraser.

also like Innes, Sorley, Angus and Campbell

weebarra · 07/09/2018 23:18

I like Stuart and think Fraser is ok. I'm Scottish and no one would pronounce it Frazier. Think about Innes, Struan, Brodie, Keir?

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 08/09/2018 10:18

Definitely Fraser, prefer Struan, to Stewart.
