Hi, we have a Mackenzie and I'm due next month. Our last 3 names are: Dylan, George and Oliver. Thank you.

Dylan

That’s nice dear.

AliceandMatthew · 31/08/2018 21:58

Sorry?

Is Mackenzie a boy or a girl? I haven't heard it as a first name before.

I really love all 3, very hard to choose. Maybe Dylan, but only because the other 2 are far more popular? (If that bothers you)

AliceandMatthew · 31/08/2018 22:03

A boy :)

George

Quangot · 01/09/2018 06:27

George

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 01/09/2018 06:30

I don’t think any of them are right with Mackenzie, they’re different styles of names.

Dylan, if I had to chose.

GoatYoga · 01/09/2018 06:32

I’m not usually a fan of matching names, but you seem to be going for a much more traditional name for number 2 and they sound a little odd when put together.

Out of the three I would go for Oliver.

Mum2OneTeen · 01/09/2018 06:36

Oliver (both 3 syllables)

greendale17 · 01/09/2018 06:39

Oliver
George
Dylan

OutPinked · 01/09/2018 07:48

Oliver George is nice.

fluffygreenmonsterhoody · 01/09/2018 07:52

McKenzie is so Scottish and George/Oliver so English, they don’t seem to go.

Dylan less jarring but also really Welsh and just a different kind of name.

If you like surnames as forenames how about Cameron, Stuart, Douglas?

PenelopeThePufferfish · 01/09/2018 07:56

George is my favourite, but Dylan goes better with Mackenzie.

Dislike Oliver... I know I’m weird as everyone else loves it! Reminds me of oily liver.

hoping2018 · 01/09/2018 08:13

Or if those three Dylan goes best with Mackenzie. The other two are too traditional to match (IMO)

Joinourclub · 01/09/2018 08:55

Dylan

Icklepup · 01/09/2018 09:44

George

WhereIsMyDressingGown · 01/09/2018 11:39

Dylan definitely 'goes best' with Mackenzie. And it's my favourite out of the three.

booniloo · 01/09/2018 11:57

I agree with Fluffygreens comments and suggestions. Sorry but I don't think any of those names work with Mackenzie as it's such a Scottish name.

Goostacean · 01/09/2018 12:12

Dylan is the best match, but my favourite of your 3 is George.

Having said that, every child is an individual so I don’t think the names have to “match”. Choose one you love!

ReginaPhalange89 · 01/09/2018 17:09

I agree none of them really flow with Mackenzie. Not sure what would though .... Cameron, Fergus, Hamish, Angus ?

Of the three on your list my favourite is George. But it doesn't sound right sorry !

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 01/09/2018 17:23

I think a Scottish name would go better than the three you've suggested.

Fraser would be nice.

moredoll · 01/09/2018 18:38

Cameron, Campbell or Fraser would go better

TatianaLarina · 01/09/2018 19:32

Dylan goes best with Mackenzie of your list.

I’d only go for two Scottish names if you’re acfually Scottish.

shakeyourcaboose · 01/09/2018 19:35

I'm like the Cameron suggestion! Or Lauchlan?
