We have a few names in mind for a girl but these are the two shortlisted.......which do you prefer? We already have a lb called William Rupert.

Thanks!!!

Molly Eliza, Eliza is very popular at minute where I am from. I don't know of any little Molly's, my best friend is called Molly. Beautiful name for a child and adult.

AnyaMoondial · 29/08/2018 19:58

Both good. Slightly prefer Molly Eliza. That sounds great actually.

goldentriangle · 29/08/2018 19:58

Molly Eliza, beautiful choices though you can't go wrong. I have an 18 year old
Molly and still love saying and hearing her name.

WallisFrizz · 29/08/2018 19:59

I love Molly.

FogCutter · 29/08/2018 20:01

Molly Eliza sounds better.

NameChange30 · 29/08/2018 20:02

For some reason I think the full name, Elizabeth, flows better with Molly (Elizabeth Molly or Molly Elizabeth). If using Molly as a first name I would use Elizabeth as a middle name. And if you really want Eliza (not Elizabeth) as a first name I would pick a different middle name that flows better, maybe one syllable.

Well as the very proud owner of a gorgeous Molly. I might be bias, but Molly Eliza flows much better than Eliza Molly.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 29/08/2018 20:05

Molly Elizabeth is gorgeous.

MikeUniformMike · 29/08/2018 20:08

Molly Eliza is the better of the two.

irisheyesaresmiling7 · 29/08/2018 20:09

Like both ways but love Molly Eliza.
We had picked Molly a couple of times but had wee boys instead!

Hosbird · 29/08/2018 20:24

Thank you for your comments! We can’t use Elizabeth as it’s already been used by another member of the family :-) xx

Middle name would be ok though surely?
Molly Elizabeth

Does the Elizabeth in the family have a nickname, Beth or Lizzie maybe? If she is known as Elizabeth I think it would be too much to have an Eliza as well (as a first name).

AppleKatie · 29/08/2018 20:27

Both lovely but with an Elizabeth in the family Molly has got to win.

Hosbird · 29/08/2018 20:28

It’s already used as a middle name by my sister in law for her little girl as my mother in law’s (her mother) is Elizabeth so I can’t use Elizabeth

I don’t think it matters if cousins share a middle name. Each to their own though.

Do you and your DH/DP have the same or different surnames? If different, will baby have one or both?

If baby will have DH/DP’s surname only, I think the middle name should come from your side.

Just my two cents!

Hosbird · 29/08/2018 20:41

We already took William from a cousins middle name so feel like we can’t do it again Grin

Baby will have my married name (husbands family name)

Xx

Middle name from your side then Wink
Would you use your mum’s first or middle name?

To be fair William and Elizabeth are both very classic names!

Hosbird · 29/08/2018 20:49

My mum has 2 middle names and my husband isn’t keen on either

Molly is coming from my side as my grandmothers are Mary and Margaret that’s why I wanted to include Molly. We have also shortlisted Jessica. Molly Jessica/Jessica Molly Smile

Both good, I prefer Eliza Molly.

SuperstarDJ · 29/08/2018 21:39

I’m really not keen on Jessica - it seems quite dated to me. Molly Eliza is nice and flows much better that way rather than the reverse.

Sophronia · 29/08/2018 22:58

Eliza Molly

DramaAlpaca · 29/08/2018 23:00

Eliza Molly, as Eliza is a similar style to William. Molly Eliza does flow better, though.

Picknickers · 29/08/2018 23:00

Molly Eliza is ace. Flows well and I love the name Molly.

Lucy1103 · 30/08/2018 20:21

Molly Eliza flows better but prefer Eliza as a first name. Molly just feels a bit wet to me (sorry! Blush)

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 30/08/2018 20:23

Molly Eliza.
