Isadora or Margot?

Stuck between these names. Love Margot’s strength and spunkiness but also love Isadora’s romanticism. Ah Confused! What are your opinions?

Margot! Love, love, love it.

MikeUniformMike · 28/08/2018 20:19

Isadora jar? Margot is much nicer.

MimiSunshine · 28/08/2018 20:28

I love the sound of Margot but I just see Magot written down (sorry ☺️)
Personally I’d go with Margo or even Margaux

Isadora just a bit too sweet

BackIntoTheSun · 28/08/2018 20:29

Isadora is lovely

Ava1988 · 28/08/2018 20:30

Love Isadora! Is really unique and pretty. Love Margot too...makes me think of Margot Robbie and she is just too cool lol

Moonflower12 · 28/08/2018 20:32

Isadora! Love it.

TheNumberfaker · 28/08/2018 20:43

Margot definitely. It’s beautiful. Don’t change the spelling though.

blondeemily · 28/08/2018 20:45

I prefer Margot by a mile.

TubeTop · 28/08/2018 20:50

Margot

Peachbubble · 28/08/2018 20:53

Margot gets my vote

Sunflower321 · 28/08/2018 22:02

Isadora! Beautiful, feminine and pronounced the same in all languages!

Margot looks harsh and is pronounced Mar-gott in several languages.

AnyaMoondial · 28/08/2018 22:13

Margot is really nice. Isadora is truly brilliant.

Immigrantsong · 28/08/2018 22:16

I do like Isadora but it means present from Isis which can have negative connotations nowadays even though she was a kick ass Egyptian goddess. Beautiful name and meaning.

Sophronia · 28/08/2018 23:27

Isadora. I think Margot is going to increase a lot in popularity.

MrsMolehillMountain · 28/08/2018 23:27

I like Margot the best but I don't think you could go wrong with either name! Lovely

DramaAlpaca · 28/08/2018 23:29

Isadora by about a hundred million miles. I don't like the way Margot looks or sounds.

cheesemongery · 28/08/2018 23:35

Margot makes me think of neighbour in "The Good Life"

Isadora - we adore 'er ...

Neither.

Lucy1103 · 29/08/2018 13:06

Ah now I’m wishing I had twins just so I could use both Grin! I’m still struggling between the two as both feel elegant but in different ways. Not keen on the nn’s for Isadora though and do like the possibility of Go with Margot (although it would probably only be used at home)

tumpymummy · 29/08/2018 13:10

Personally I don't like either. But not my baby so doesn't matter! Both sound too posh, and Margot is like maggot!

Kintan · 29/08/2018 13:16

Ooh I love Isadora! Sounds quite witchy in a good way. It’s going on our list! Margot is nice too but I know 3 little Margots so think it’s getting quite popular.

finallychangedmyusername · 29/08/2018 13:24

I think Isadora is great but can't understand the Mumsnet appeal of Margot. To me she's the busybody in the Good Life.. I vote Isadora all the way.

TheLastMermaid · 29/08/2018 13:28

Margot's fabulous but becoming really popular.

Isadora's beautiful - I'd go for that and have this thread deleted immediately before it gives anyone else ideas 😊

Quangot · 29/08/2018 13:34

Isadora. Margot is faddy and harsh.

Sunflower321 · 29/08/2018 13:44

Isadora sounds so pretty!

Lucy1103 · 30/08/2018 14:08

Middle name will be Evangeline- in honour of DH’s mum who unfortunately passed away this year- if that changes anything
