Sibling for Arthur & Tabitha

Aries456 · 28/08/2018 14:47

I am due in 2 weeks and still looking for name inspirations!
My husband and I are both in education and originally tried to choose names of children that were not that common but now also open to top 20 names as I have seen how trends change quickly anyway (5 years ago I had never met another Arthur!!) We think we have a girl's name lined up but struggling with boy names we both agree on. Any suggestions welcome x

The Arthurs I know have siblings Evelyn and William... I don't think I know any Tabithas!

Wow loads of great names there! I love Felix but husband doesn't, considered Magnus but not sure brave enough! Like Edward and Wilfred and Robin is a nice name.... know a baby Henry and a dog named Hugo!! All my friends love Rupert but I worry it is a bit...plummy! Think Edward may go in the list and I will float Robin (although my husband is Christopher ha ha...)
Thanks for the input guys!

I do love Max and it is on the short list (Maxwell) and i think edward (and Teddy) have just gone on today @toomany ...and my husband likes Rafferty! I would Like Kit as it is a diminutive of Christopher but we know a baby Kit! Lydia was one of our top 5 too @deptfordgirl. Thanks again, giving me lots to think about

My late father (he would have been 99 now) was Arthur. His siblings were Rose (nice enough), Cyril and Nancy.

Personally, I think all of those are awful. Tabitha is a cat's name, isn't it?

Lynne Tabitha is op’s actual daughter’s name, did you mean to be so rude?

Soulqueen · 28/08/2018 19:16

I think you need a one syllable name like Jude, Max, James, Miles.

toomanyeastereggsurghh · 28/08/2018 20:31

I love the name Tabitha (and like Arthur too) you have good taste in names OP!
I think Tabitha, Arthur and Max or Tabitha, Arthur and Edward both sound really good.
Or maybe Tabitha, Arthur and Monty?

Aries456 · 28/08/2018 21:21

Ooh you are pulling me back to Max! And Edward is coming up up the inside!
And it's ok, Tabitha is a bit of a cat's name (Tabitha Twitchit) which is why my husband has said no to Felix! But I don't personally see the problem Smile

Ps know a baby Monty!

bangourvillagebesttimeever · 28/08/2018 21:32

Our local Rugby club has a Monty and a Hamish which I love

Aries456 · 28/08/2018 22:02

@bangourvillage your class list is really varied - never seen Konrad with a K! And Hamish is lovely but alas I have no Scottish connections. Monty is really nice too but already been nabbed by someone I know. Everyone seems to be having boys!!
