@GoJohnnyGoGoGoGo Ernie and Bert - absolutely love it 😊.

I think Albert has become my number one choice, I have a very soft spot for Ernest - was my first cabbage patch kid. And now still very loved by dd.

StuckInTheMiddleWithJude Grandad Arthur died a few years before I met my husband so unfortunately I never got to meet him and I really wish I had - by all accounts he was absolutely lovely. His wife, husband's Grandma, became my Grandma too from the day and hour she met me. I miss her but hopefully they're together again now :)

Thank you everyone for your replies.

Grandad names are firmly my favourite genre of name now - and it's so lovely to hear the nice stories and how many people honour their grandads by naming their ds's after them. There's something very special about a grandad 😊.

Robert and Samuel. I like Samuel but not fussed on Robert.

StuckInTheMiddleWithJude · 27/08/2018 19:38

@ReginaPhalange89 lovely. You don't seem to hear Bill or Billy as nicknames for William these days.

Another William (Bill) and a Ronald Ernest. Love the name Ernest!

The mention of Cabbage Patch Kids, though lovely, makes me think of Garbage Pail Kids!
