If i like Mia or Ellie...

What other names might I like? We don’t know what we are having but we have already decided on a name for a boy. My first choice for a girl is Elizabeth (Lizzie) but DH isn’t keen, and Mia or Ellie are the only two so far that he likes. I just think they’re a bit ‘safe’? Our ds has quite an unusual name, one syllable beginning with J. (Not revealing his name as we haven’t announced the pregnancy irl yet).

Where are you from that Elizabeth is a riskier name choice than Mia?!?!

Elizabeth is strong classic name.

Mia and Ellie are trendy/faddy insubstantial names.(imo obviously)

So none of them 'risky' (the opposite of 'safe'?) but quite different I think.

Helena or Alexandra.

Poppy or Milly
