Hi I'd appreciate any feedback on my list, both boy names and girl names. Also if anyone has any suggestions about which first and middle combination sounds the best? I have one DS who is James so it would need to not sound odd with that.

Girls:

Benjamin

Clara and William are my favourites.

Quite like both lists of names, all,good solid names.

Matilda and Eliza are my fave with James. Gabriel and Theodore from your boys lists.

You've got some lovely names there flatrabbit! My favourites are Clara and Benjamin and least favourite are Eliza/Elsa and William.

I think Elizabeth or Matthew would be very good middle names for the style of name you seem to like.

James and Matilda

Love Elizabeth, William and Benjamin.
Dislike Eliza and Matilda. Particularly Matilda.

I love Clara, such a beautiful name and I really like Elizabeth too, but it will get shortened to either Beth or Liz. Really, really hate the name Liz.

Benjamin and Theodore are such beautiful boys names, I love the nn's for both too. James, Benjamin and Theodore are actually my top 3 names for boys so I think your making good choices haha!

I think James and Matilda sounds adorable!

Clara - absolutely beautiful name, I love this name. I dont know a single person named Clara. Also easy to spell and pronounce so no issues there.
Josephine - not my cup of tea, but if you like it go for it.like
Matilda - ok.
Eliza - not keen.
Elsa - ok.
Elizabeth -'gorgeous name. Classic and timeless.

Gabriel - I love this name.
Theodore - good solid name.
Samuel - nice but I think he would always get Sam.
William - nice, quite popular.
Benjamin - can't really go wrong with this. All the ones I know get called Ben.

AdaColeman I like Elizabeth as a middle name but not keen on Matthew for some reason.

Lucy if we used Theodore we would definitely want to use Theo as a nickname, I'm not a fan of Teddy.

Another question, as we have a James should we avoid Josephine as a first name as it is another J name or am I overthinking?

Matilda - personally I dislike as I've never met a well behaved one. But it's fine.
Eliza - ok. Not amazing but ok
Elsa - I love Elsa, it was my favourite name for years but tbh Frozen has ruined it.
Elizabeth - boring

Gabriel - meh
Theodore - nice enough
Samuel - like it
William - no
Benjamin - like it

I think my top two from each list are Clara and Josephine for girls, Benjamin and Theodore for boys.
