DD due in a few weeks.

Middle name will be Rose.

Like:
Heidi
Lyra
Beatrix
Ophelia
Ruby

Please help, I go from loving to loathing the above (yay hormones) none of them feel the 'one' yet...and of course will have to wait till we see her face to truly know.

Her brother is Joseph. Took us 3 days to name him after he was born Blush

Thank you! 💖

I like Beatrix and Ruby from your list. Lyra is OK too. I wouldn't consider Heidi or Ophelia.

Lyra is such a beautiful name! Go with that! You don't need inspiration!

Vivienne, Luna, Eliza and Aurora are beautiful options too.

Yes, Lyra was our number 1 name for a girl when pregnant with DS (surprise) still love it!

Thank you all so far Flowers

I have a Ruby and an Eva. I wanted to call Eva, Evangeline, and that is still my favourite girls name. Was veto'd tho, by my (now ex) husband - you live and learn! Wink

MumUnderTheMoon · 25/08/2018 13:24

Are you going to hyphenate or just use her first name?
Kara/cara would be lovely Kara means proud maiden whereas Cara means friend.
Tessa would also be a nice match it means "to gather" or harvester.

I think out of your options Ophelia goes best with Rose and with Joseph, other names that might go...

Emmeline Rose
Arabella Rose
Elena Rose
Evelina Rose
Abigail Rose
Harriet Rose

ToBeARockAndNotToRoll · 25/08/2018 17:23

I don't think we will hyphenate...Thank you for all these suggestions, some beautiful names! Smile

Beatrix and Heidi are lovely.

Ophelia is rather tragic and open to horrible nicknames.

kenandbarbie · 25/08/2018 18:19

Ophelia, Heidi or Beatrice (don't like x ending)

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 25/08/2018 18:20

❤️❤️❤️ Ruby Rose.

kenandbarbie · 25/08/2018 18:20

Vivienne and Eliza nice also

ToBeARockAndNotToRoll · 25/08/2018 21:53

@LeeMiller yes, that is my concern with Ophelia, the tragic association...Thank you for your ideas too, some lovely ones!

I like Lyra and Beatrix :)

I’ve got an Elodie & Arielle. Elodie Rose sounds nice :) x

WhereIsBlueRabbit · 25/08/2018 21:55

They're all nice names but I'd avoid Ruby Rose as I'm not a fan of alliterative names personally (though Ruby is a lovely name). Heidi is under-used but not dated, and Beatrix is lovely.

WhereIsBlueRabbit · 25/08/2018 21:56

Oh, and Lyra is lovely!1

moredoll · 26/08/2018 02:44

I like Beatrix, love Ruby. Don't like Lyra, sorry.
