Need a boy’s name!

Ladies, am pregnant with first child after 10 years TTC. Obviously over the moon! We’ve decided not to find out the second of the baby. We’ve chosen a girl’s name: Lorelei (pronounced laurel-eye) and middle name Rae but are stumped for a boy’s name we both like.

He doesn’t like Nathan or Joshua
I don’t like Joseph or James ...

Really want a name that is fairly unique/uncommon like our girl’s choice.

Can anyone help? Smile

Congratulations !! But you've had 10 YEARS to think about a name WinkGrin
How about Hunter or Tate?

Nikolai?

Nathan, Joshua, Joseph and James are not particularly uncommon names. They are all biblical names - is that something you're looking for?

What about:
Josiah
Raphael
Eli
Jonas
Bartholomew
Thaddaeus

Ok, thinking outside the box. Another German mythology name? :-)

Siegfried
Alberich
Gunther

Or indeed Norse:

Alf
Gunnar
Vidar

Lorelai is quite a romantic mythological name to me. Maybe a literary characters like:

Dorian
Jude
Gabriel
Ernest
Benedict

Lorelei Rae is such a mouthful , I find it so difficult to say but I think that's the Scottish accent haha . All the rrrr sounds.

Sorry I'm completely rubbish at boys names and even worse at unique names as I'm more a traditional names girl
But congrats on finally getting pregnant, 10 years is so long. You must be over the moon

Ha ha thanks , Rae is after my grandfather and uncle both called Raymond ; both passed away recently. The middle name for a boy will be Ray. Hubby doesn’t like Raymond and doesn’t want Ray as a boy’s first name either! It’s difficult!

Rae/Ray both for girls seem to be the middle name of choice at the moment! It's popping up everywhere Smile

Cazastrophe · 22/08/2018 22:57

Thanks all, I like Gabriel.
We’ve had a think and although not unique, we both quite like Elliott & Alexander. 🧐

Very unfortunate to post that after 10 years of TTC, my pregnancy resulted in miscarriage at 5 months so please, do not respond to this thread any more. Seems I am unable to delete. Thank you.
