Adelaide I love!

Greeneyedgeek83 · 21/08/2018 21:47

Georgia or holly

kenandbarbie · 21/08/2018 21:49

Holly from your list

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 21/08/2018 21:49

Mia

Cherubfish · 21/08/2018 21:55

Holly.

The problem with Mia is how to pronounce it - I know a mee-a, my-a and may-a - so confusing!

bridgetreilly · 21/08/2018 21:57

Adelaide
Edie (though I prefer Edith0
Holly
Mia
Georgia

I don't think there's a pronunciation problem with Mia. It's mee-a. Maia and Maya have alternatives, but Mia's pretty straightforward

RoseMartha · 21/08/2018 22:02

Adelaide

MalachisMum1 · 21/08/2018 22:03

My favourites are Mia and Adelaide x

AnyaMoondial · 21/08/2018 22:16

Holly

DramaAlpaca · 21/08/2018 22:20

Mia or Holly.

Adelaide is a place in Australia, and the 'laide' ending of it means 'ugly' in French which really puts me off it. Edie is a diminutive, and I dislike Georgia.

MrsMolehillMountain · 21/08/2018 22:32

Adelaide.
Holly is soooo overused

hamzilla · 21/08/2018 22:33

Edie!

AnnieTheAlpaca · 21/08/2018 22:45

Edie is by far the nicest from your list.
Adelaide is the second nicest.

Mia is dull and overused.
Georgia and Holly are stuck in the 90s.

Sophronia · 22/08/2018 04:25

Adelaide - Adelaide is a lovely name. I live in Adelaide, Australia, so for me (and most Aussie people) I couldn't really consider this name. Personally with place names I wouldn't be keen to use a place name unless I'd been to that place or had a connection to it. Of course Adelaide is named after a person, and isn't just a place name. Adelaide sounds very elegant and grand to me. Lady/Addy/Adel are all good nicknames for it.

Georgia - A nice simple, timeless name. It's pretty and elegant but not too girly and weak.

Holly - I don't know why this name is not used more often. It sounds so cool and strong. I do think it suits a winter baby best though.

Mia - If it is pronounced _ 'My-ah' then I think it is a good, strong name. If it is pronounced 'Mee-ah' then...no, not a fan - it's a weak, flimsy, overly girly name.

Edie - OMG I love this name. Especially love it as a nickname for Edith.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 22/08/2018 10:11

💕 Holly.

starkid · 22/08/2018 15:49

I like Georgia and Edie from your list most, and Adelaide is also quite nice :)

Quangot · 22/08/2018 16:07

Holly or Georgia

IVflytrap · 22/08/2018 20:02

Adelaide is my favourite. Edie in second place (especially if Edith!), Holly in third.

HettyB · 23/08/2018 19:58

Adelaide

Yakadee · 23/08/2018 20:02

Holly is lovely. It would be on our list but doesn't go great with our surname x
