Is it too popular now? I personally don't know any evas's but it would bother me if she was one of 5 in her class. It's the only name I'd say DH and I both 'love'.

DH is very keen on Thea. I like it but not sure it sounds like a proper name iyswim?

I'm 38 weeks and feel like I've considered every girls name going at this point...

I don't know any Evas only Avas. I don't think it's as popular these days. Might be some of her classmates older sisters though x

Eva is a beautiful name. It's strong, classy, elegant & international. The only one I know is 20, no young ones at all.

I think it's much nicer than Thea.

Eva is lovely. I think I like it a little better than Thea, which I also love.

Even the number one girl's name is only given to about 1 in every 60 girls each year. So the chance of there being 5 in one class is extreeeemely low. And that's the number one name! The highest Eva has been recently is 24th. In 2016, it was down to 30th. It was given to 1 in every 200 baby girls that year (roughly). That's more like 1 or 2 per year group in an average-sized high school.

It is a really pretty name . I think it was common in 2012/13 when I had my older daughter but I haven't heard of many recently !

I'm a primary teacher and we don't have any Evas in our school. We have a couple of Avas.

Yes, we have at least one in every class, or an Ava. Good few classes have multiple - it is Ireland though so maybe that's different. Youngest in the school are about 4, oldest 12.

There might not be all that many Eva's, but when you include all the girls named Evie, Eve, Ava as well, it is very overused, in my opinion. Which may or may not bother you.

Thea is lovely makes me think of Athena. Ava bit drippy and wet
