We have a selection of girls name but myself and my DH have completely different ideas on what we think is "the one".

It might be worth mentioning that this is our first child of hopefully 3. If we ever have a son he will be called James

Any other recommendations are also welcome!

Amelie (DH favourite. Pronounced A-meh-lee, )
Grace
Molly
Erin
Isla
Isabella (Bella for short, my favourite)

Also I have no problems telling you all my surname which is Richardson. So any name suggestions can match with that!

Amelie (DH favourite. Pronounced A-meh-lee, ): love, very popular at the moment though might that be a problem
Grace: love, also very popular
Molly: probably the one that sounds best with your surname
Erin: hate it, very American
Isla: never warmed to this name
Isabella (Bella for short, my favourite): love Bella!

Suggestions, I think along the same lines at yours above:
Millie
Matilda- Tilly for short
Leyla

Love Amelie and Bella - the latter has featured on our list in each of my pregnancies although not been picked yet.

pouraglasshalffull · 17/08/2018 15:40

I actually only like the name Isabella, it’s Bella that I really love but thought it isn’t really a name on its own? I’d prefer just Bella to be honest!

Isabella is my favourite of your list. I know it's popular but it's so pretty. James is lovely too.

Greeneyedgeek83 · 17/08/2018 16:30

Amelie (DH favourite. Pronounced A-meh-lee, )- this is lovely and goes well with surname

Grace- nice and goes well.

Molly- nice but can't imagine a middle age woman with this name

Erin- don't like with your surname

Isla- sick of hearing this name

Isabella (Bella for short, my favourite)- nice but popular and doesn't flow as well with surname.

I'd choose Amelie or Grace

ReginaPhalange89 · 17/08/2018 16:32

All really pretty names. I think I prefer Bella to Amelie. You could definitely have it as a name on its own if you're not keen on Isabella
Also love Molly , such a sweet name !

Icklepup · 17/08/2018 16:37

I only like Erin.

yikesanotherbooboo · 17/08/2018 16:49

The longer names sound nice with Richardson. My least favourite is Erin and I'm not mad on Amelie . How about Anabel, Katharine or Susannah?

Flamingosnbears · 17/08/2018 17:26

Luella, Sophie, Anna,

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 17/08/2018 18:20

I have a Molly so I'm probably bias
Molly Grace Richardson is gorgeous
as is Amelie Grace Richardson

AnyaMoondial · 17/08/2018 19:26

Bella is definitely a name on its own. It’s in the top 100 I think.

toomanyeastereggsurghh · 17/08/2018 22:37

Amelie - love this name, (plus movie was very cool)
Grace - not a fan, quite dull imo
Molly - cute but nothing special
Erin - don’t like at all
Isla - I like a lot
Isabella - along with Isabelle and Isobel this is just way too popular for my liking. If what you actually love is Bella how about other names that us Bella as nn eg Annabelle, Mirabelle or Arabella

Picknickers · 17/08/2018 23:55

I like Molly and Bella best. You can totally use Bella as a name in it's own right.

moredoll · 18/08/2018 00:03

Molly. Goes well with your surname.
Also like Anna.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 18/08/2018 10:48

Bella Richardson is lovely.

daisypond · 18/08/2018 10:55

Amelie - twee and dated. It's so movie-related and that's nearly 20 years old now.
Grace - popular, but very nice.
Molly - OK - a little cutesy but not too bad.
Erin - Nice if you've got Irish roots.
Isla - OK, but, again, very popular these days.
Isabella - pretty, but very popular - possibly this style of name is going out of fashion. Bella is fine - a bit "doggy" to my mind, but still OK.

Pudding01 · 18/08/2018 12:27

I like Erin (my dd's name & I get nothing but compliments)
Isla is pretty
I prefer the spelling Isobel 😊

Pudding01 · 18/08/2018 12:30

Just to add that I'm not Irish, but my family are x

Goostacean · 18/08/2018 12:44

Don’t mind Erin but I think it’s the only one that doesn’t go with your surname. I find the “in-r” oddly uncomfortable to pronounce. Accept that might just be me though 😂

Looks like a competition between Amelie and Isabella, then? Or something similar?

Goostacean · 18/08/2018 12:52

Alternatives:

Freya
Aurelia
Lola
Madeleine
Gabrielle
Maisy
Moira
