Flow?

I know the flow is not the best but I LOVE Beau!

Is Beau Owens acceptable? Thoughts or suggestions?

Beau Owens - Bo O?
No.

LivLemler · 15/08/2018 03:40

I'm afraid I don't think it works, it's hard to say.

LeeValley2 · 15/08/2018 04:18

Sounds the same as Joe Owens which wouldn’t get a second thought. It’s fine.

Ginandplatonic · 15/08/2018 04:28

From the thread title I thought you wanted opinions on Flow as a name! Blush

I think Beau Owens is a bit too much of a mouthful personally - but may be being influenced by the fact that I'm not especially keen on Beau.

BigGreenOlives · 15/08/2018 04:30

Really difficult to say. I too thought you were considering Flow as a name.

ReginaPhalange89 · 15/08/2018 04:52

No I don't think it goes sorry!

CommanderDaisy · 15/08/2018 04:56

As the initials are B.O.
Nope.
Beau is nice, your surname needs changing to flow with that name.
Sorry.

B.O initials make one disregard a name??? Why?? Some of the justifications for rejecting names here just baffles me!

Beau Owens works just fine. If you like the name Beau, use it! It’s a great name 😊

CommanderDaisy · 15/08/2018 06:29

B.O initials in the playground would be pounced on in seconds by some wee asshole.
That would not make you disregard a name?
A friend managed to gift her son with the initials C.O.C . He and her son regret her choice and have done for most of his school life.

PurpleDaisies · 15/08/2018 06:32

If the initials are a problem, give them a middle name.

Why is your thread called flow?

junebirthdaygirl · 15/08/2018 06:33

Initials do matter at times. Know someone called Thomas O Toole and got stuck with nickname Tot in school.
But Beau Owens is not great as the two names are very similiar and difficult to say together.

Limpshade · 15/08/2018 06:45

There were three Beaus/Bos in my baby group of 10. Don't do it!

Ihuntmonsters · 15/08/2018 07:42

I'm not a keen on Beau as a name at the best of times, but the combination with Owens really doesn't work. Too many 'oh's, and it might get picked up both as BO and also as 'bow ow' like a dog barking.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 15/08/2018 08:18

It sounds like Bowens. Boeing 747.

I don't think I would OP.

Tava · 15/08/2018 12:21

I'm in the US? Is "flow" not a word here? Haha. As is, do this name flow?

As far as the B.O. initials go, I too at one point was like "no way" but then someone said to me "if it's good enough for Barack Obama, it's good enough for your kid". I laughed and agreed.

Thanks for the input, everyone!

That first sentence was not meant as a question. Sorry, just woke up!

OP posts:
Tava · 15/08/2018 12:23

And rereading I see more typos. I'll just take seat now. Grin

AmyRhodes · 15/08/2018 12:31

I always liked Beau, until I met lots of people who refer to body odour as in B.O. simply as bo.

Totally ruined Beau for me.

Isawthelight · 15/08/2018 13:46

Sorry but it doesn't flow together at all. If you say it fast it sounds like bones, or maybe that's just my accentGrin

Tava · 15/08/2018 14:40

Oh, no. It is not the initials that are a problem for me. It is the flow of the names. I wasnt sure if they worked. That's why I titled it "flow?".

OP posts:
Tava · 15/08/2018 15:22

Why must I like only names that dont work with my last name? Or names that rhyme with my son's name? Confused Naming humans is hard.

OP posts:
GreatDuckCookery6211 · 15/08/2018 16:34

Flow is a word here Grin but usually posters put the name in the title they want critiquing.

Tava · 15/08/2018 18:12

Lol! I guess I was trying to emphasize I wanted opinions on the flow not the name, necessarily. Grin Fail! I appreciate all the feed back though!

OP posts:
Dangerousminds · 15/08/2018 18:23

I thought it was quite obvious why the title was 'flow'.

I don't think it does go too well, it's quite hard to say. Sorry OP.
