I’m 37 weeks pregnant with a boy and me and DH have only just decided on the name Albert. Do they go well or sound to similar?

Hmmm. Sounds fine. If it was me they would be referred to as Scarlett and Alby though.

I was planning on calling him Alby as nickname and having Albert as a full name.

They go nicely together.

They’re too similar IMO. It’s the double ‘et’ endings. If he would be Alby, people do use Albie as a full name. If he’s going to be known as Albie, go for that.

I didn't think those two names were similar. If you're referring Albert to Alby, then it totally works.

I know a Scarlett and Charles known as Scarlie and Charlie!

I'd name him alby personally , but whatever you like go for!

I think Scarlett and Albert sound nice together. Alby is a lovely nickname. X
