Help- I hate all boys names!!

Baby due October and have several options for girls names that I am happy with. Boys names are so hard!! I have a son called Louis and I still love his name although it is a bit more popular than I would like. I need some suggestions desperately I have been through so many websites and endless ONS lists.
Possibilities (but none seem quite right):
Sonny
Albie
Brodie
Rudy
Woody
Perry

Bit of a theme with the sound of them which is unintentional!

Please help with comments on my list or some fab suggestions! Going mad

I like Woody from your list but many posters will say it's another word for an erection.

If you don't like names generally, could you pick a name with meaning for you e.g. a family name, a name from a book or film you really enjoy, the name of someone you admire/are interested in from history?

Otherwise, some suggestions of names that I generally like: Isaac, Zachary, Sebastian, Raphael, Riley, Henry, Idris, George, Ezekiel, Spencer.

Isn't woody an erection Blush?

Stuckforthefourthtime · 13/08/2018 19:02

Brodie is the clear winner for me, or Albert nicknamed Albie. Maybe Perry?
Of the rest, Woody means erection, Rudy just sounds... Rude, and Sonny is not so easy for an adult.

Also my favourite from your list is Rudy and we had it on ours for DS

daisypond · 13/08/2018 19:09

I think they all sound too cutesy - fine for a child, not so much an adult. They're mostly diminutives. If you like the y sound on the end...
Henry.
Rory.
Finlay.
Harvey.
Kingsley.
Stanley.
Sidney.

I know a Woody with brothers called Reggie and Jasper. Any good?

Halfpastfreckle · 13/08/2018 19:50

I’m really surprised to hear people say woody means erection to them. I know Americans tend to say “getting wood” etc but I didn’t think the word woody meant etection it that that would be the first thought for people in the uk (assuming previous posters are based in the uk). Sonny is probably our favourite however the problem as people have pointed out is that it’s a bit childish and doesn’t seem right for an adult. Names that seem right for an adult male I find too classic/boring. Honestly I think boys names are so hard!! Nothing posted so far is jumping out at me but thanks anyway 😢 you never know maybe it will be a girl!

I'm terrible with boys names too. Haven't found any that i love with either of my pregnancies. My favourite just now is Evan but I don't LOVE it yet.

Little boys I know just for ideas..... Jax, Jesse, Hudson, Ashton, Jacob, Benji, Calvin, Thomas/Tommy, Asher, Cooper, Coen, Westin.

My little boy is called Woody. I thought about Edward or such and using woody as the shortened version, but I loved the name woody so went for it. I get that it's marmite, but he has a more traditional middle name too.
As for the erection connotations, it's not something that I've heard of a lot.
I like all on your list. I would question Perry, only because I think of 'Pear Cider'. Which I guess is far more palatable to some people than 'erection!' Grin
