We don't know what we're having yet but wanting to see if we're on the right track with pairing up names... What do you think - which work/don't work out of these?

B/B: Elias or Elijah & Zachary

B/G: Elias or Elijah & Beatrix, Cecily, Felicity, Florence, Margot, Penelope, Primrose, Ruby, Seren, Willow or Winter

Zachary & Beatrix, Florence, Margot, Primrose, Seren or Willow

G/G: Beatrix & Cecily, Elodie, Felicity, Margot or Penelope

Cecily & Margot, Elodie & Margot, Felicity & Margot or Margot & Penelope

I much prefer Elijah to Elias

I'm not keen on Primrose and Ruby sounds a bit dated (very noughties) but all your other names are lovely

@shaggedthruahedgebackwards - I had a private scan almost 2 weeks ago but I'm not as far along as previously thought. We found two sacs - both with yolk sacs and fetal poles but we could only find one heartbeat. We're going back on Tuesday with crossed fingers that all is okay. Completely freaking at the thought of twins at the same time however... Already feeling so unprepared! It's still early to be thinking about names but I'm trying to get my head round doing things for twos and thinking of pairings. Thanks for the help!

I like:

Zachary and Beatrix
Beatrix and Penelope

I think your pairings all work well to be honest.

I much prefer Elijah to Elias.

B/B Elijah and Zachary is lovely

B/G Elijah and Florence or Felicity

G/G felicity and Penelope is gorgeous together. Or Elodie and Penelope. Not keen on Margot at all

What about Phoebe and Felicity 😍 love those together.

Also fingers crossed they find both heartbeats next time x

Not keen on Seren. willow, Winter, Ruby, all a bit dated. Love the rest.

@ReginaPhalange89 - I wondered if the names that end in y/ie rhymed too much to be paired together? The same with Zachary. Phoebe is lovely, thank you!

@OrlandaFuriosa - The nature names might not make the cut anyway as we want to avoid a 'theme' with our other LO's names. I've realised that all our boy's names (including DS's) have very similar meanings so we might consider it if we have one of each.

I've also just realised that I've completely forgotten Imogen! It's on our girl's list and I think it pairs with just about every name on our list (minus Seren) ... I can blame baby brain for that one lol.

@TatianaLarina - DH doesn't like Beatrice 🙄 Which I don't understand... Don't even get me started on it lol. We already have a Violet 💜

I think it's nice for twins to have similar sounds in there names. Phoebe and Felicity is so cute together but not too mathchy. I've got a Phoebe and this thread has totally made me want felicity if we have another girl 😂😂 hadn't even given it a thought til now

@ReginaPhalange89 I think we're definitely adding Phoebe to the list - it's lovely! It fits with our other children's names too. Felicity would be lovely with it.

Seren, Willow or Winter - no
Elodie - likely to be very popular, only a maybe

@MikeUniformMike We really struggle with boy's names - this is all we couldn't find fault with lol. I think if we just have one boy then we'll go with Zachary.

I'm not keen on long names as they get shortened. Elijah is cute but it seems a baby or toddler's name. Elias and Elijah will be shortened, probably to Elly or El.
If you love the name use it, but have a think if you liked it 5/10 years ago and will you still love it in 5/10/20/30 ... year's time.
Zac and Ruby are OK, as are Violet, Zac and Ruby.
I'm not mad about the current trend for biblical names but I like the standard ones like Michael, Ben, Sam, Paul, Jonathan, John, Matthew, Mark, Peter, Simon ...
They might appear a bit dull but they're solid.

@MikeUniformMike All our children's names get shortened by everyone so we're not bothered - it's too little too late to worry about it now lol... Actually I think I'd prefer they could so they can all choose to go by nicknames if they wish. I think we'd personally go with Eli for Elias/Elijah.

We aren't religious at all and it's completely unplanned but DS's name also means "gift from god" so we seem to have a type lol. These were the only boy's names from our whole list that made the cut. Arthur and Sebastian are ones I'm sad to loose but I've been told it screams Disney with our Aurora. We already have a Violet too which is why we're not 100% sure on using another nature name.
