I already have a couple of names on my list for a girl (Isobel & Lucy) and one for a boy (George) which DH doesn't want...

Could you give me your top name for each sex please 🙂 x

Thanks @ReginaPhalange89. I like all of your names, except Layla, Jesse, Cohen & Jacob 🙂 We're still TTC after 11 months...

I'm looking for your top names to go with Erin, to see if I like any better than what I have already x

I know an Erin (adult) who has a wee girl called Ivy and I've always thought they go really nicely ! Lol.

I can't stop thinking about baby names and we're not even TTC yet 🙈 Im surprised by a lot of the names on the threads on here ! A lot of old, OLD names. Like I wouldn't even consider lol. Like Caroline, Mabel 😬

Do you like Mirren ? Erin and Mirren goes quick nice. Think it's quite popular though

Pudding01 · 06/08/2018 09:07

Mirren sounds like a surname to me.

I do really like Ivy, but my name is Holly...
I used to get random people singing 'The Holly and the ivy' in my old job 🤣

You have George on your list too, so I'm using that as another point for the name I want hehe x

Ooh I love the name George so another vote for that. I think Lucy goes well actually for a girl. I also like Beth (Bethany maybe as full name?).

I have an Erin and a Robyn. I didn't go in for matchy-matchy "what name goes with X" names - but obviously seem to have a consistent taste in names - I didn't like "little girl" names that weren't going to fit with a clunky teen and young confident woman, didn't like the -ie/y ending type names and needed something that went with our fairly simple surname.

Lucy was a close contender to be honest too.

ReginaPhalange89 · 06/08/2018 09:29

I really like Lucy too, I've liked that in the past but OH knew someone so didn't want that.

I'm not fussed on mathchy matchy either, I've got a Jessica and a Phoebe so I just want something to doesn't sound completely random next to those lol. Boys names are much harder than girls I think. I've never found a boys name I absolutely loved. Probably lucky I've had 2 girls 😂
