Baby girl due very soon and struggling with which middle name sounds better... Both have a similar meaning to us so one doesn't stick out more....

Daisy Eleanor
Or
Daisy Nicole

Any thoughts? TIA

Daisy Nicole

SnowyAlps · 02/08/2018 22:54

Daisy Nicole (we have a Daisy in the family too Smile)

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 02/08/2018 22:56

Daisy Eleanor.

DramaAlpaca · 02/08/2018 22:58

Daisy Eleanor sounds more modern.

Billie353 · 02/08/2018 23:00

Ahhh 50/50 split.

Eleanor seems very popular at the moment so not sure if that puts me off a little.

Daisy Eleanor.

I think Nicole is very outdated.

Thanks for the suggestion.
It needs to be one of the 2 we've decided on or chaos will start Grin

Daisy Eleanor.

I don't think popularity matters for middle names as they're not used frequently (perhaps with the exception of Rose/May which are so common as middle names they're a bit of a cliche now). Eleanor is timeless and classic, Nicole is a bit dated.

LoveInTokyo · 03/08/2018 09:46

Eleanor.

Middle names don't matter at all.
If you want to use one (and you don't have to), it's your chance to go off-piste with a name you wouldn't dare use in real life. Pick whichever you like best, or which has special meaning to you. Daisy may occasionally use her middle initial in adult life (I rarely use mine) but she's unlikely to share her middle name with any regularity. Can't imagine many of my friends would even know what mine is. The fact that I have one is largely irrelevant to me.

foxtiger · 03/08/2018 13:54

I prefer Daisy Eleanor for two reasons. I like the name Eleanor better anyway, but I also think Nicole is one of those names that is very often used as a middle name just because it seems to flow well there, so it ends up being a rather unimaginative choice.

MikeUniformMike · 03/08/2018 14:26

I don't like Nicole. Eleanor is more classic.

CocoLoco87 · 03/08/2018 14:35

I prefer the name Nicole, but I think Eleanor goes better with Daisy.

Belindabauer · 03/08/2018 14:37

I like Eleanor best.
Think it is more timeless.

daisypond · 03/08/2018 15:39

Daisy Eleanor. I'd go for something more classic for the middle name.

starkid · 03/08/2018 15:45

I prefer the sound of Daisy Nicole, sounds cool :)

Strawberry89 · 03/08/2018 15:50

Eleanor

Daisy Eleanor

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 03/08/2018 16:49

Eleanor. Nicole is pretty dated and doesn't really fit with Daisy to me.
