It's a lovely name but she really did ruin it 😱. In a year or so she will be completely forgotten so if you love it, go for it.

DuggeeHugs · 01/08/2018 23:22

I've never seen Geordie Shore but Marnie was my great grandmother's name so it always sounds like a solid, historical name to me Smile

DramaAlpaca · 01/08/2018 23:24

It's more Alfred Hitchcock to me I'm old

Pretty name though.

BearFoxBear · 01/08/2018 23:25

That was my girls name choice, I love it.

NewtScamandersNaughtyNiffler · 01/08/2018 23:27

I love it. But I've never seen Geordie shore

babycakes1010 · 01/08/2018 23:27

Love it

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 01/08/2018 23:33

It's my 87 year old auntie's name. Not at all Geordie shore to me. Grin I like it, granny chic.

NonaGrey · 01/08/2018 23:35

I’m completely unaware of Geordie Shore but I know two Marnies one child and one adult and both completely fabulous.

Rebecca36 · 01/08/2018 23:47

Marnie makes me think of the old Hitchcock film which I've seen on TV.

DandySeaLioness · 02/08/2018 01:37

Marnie is Polish for poorly/badly Blush

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 02/08/2018 01:46

Love Marnie.

Icklepup · 02/08/2018 07:32

Really like it

Mousefunky · 02/08/2018 08:01

I like it. Lily Allen has a Marnie.

LoveInTokyo · 02/08/2018 09:34

It sounds like a nickname rather than a proper name you'd put on a birth certificate. I find it a bit twee tbh.

Marnie sounds like a minor character from Little House on the Prairie.

sakura06 · 02/08/2018 10:49

I love it. I've never seen Geordie Shore!

CointreauVersial · 02/08/2018 10:54

Lovely name. Like the Hitchcock film. I know an 18yo Marnie, and a 16yo.

Never watched Geordie Shore, so was unaware there was a Marnie in it.

2ManySweets · 02/08/2018 10:55

It always reminds me of that pink stuff they cost prawns in

Prawn Marnie Rose

eurgh

Plus be aware OP that it appears to be one of THOSE names that is all the rage now, not a problem per se but I watch with interest how many thousands of teenage Marnies there are in 2033 from the really “individualistic” parents.

Sorry how bitchy that sounds. See also: Ava.
