Due date today...we have 3 girls names that we like & we've decided we're going to wait until she arrives to name her.

What do you like?
Grace
Orla
Sophie

Orla, beautiful name.
The other two are ok but a bit ‘meh’ and too popular.

Sophie. I like Sophia too.

Not keen on Orla and Grace is ok but more of a ubiquitous middle name to me.

MorrisDancingViv · 31/07/2018 09:27

Sophie

Reaa · 31/07/2018 09:27

Orla

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 31/07/2018 09:29

Orla is the most unusual.
The others are quite ubiquitous

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 31/07/2018 09:30

Orla! Gorgeous!

leighdinglady · 31/07/2018 09:30

My DD is Orla and we get so many compliments.

Redsharks · 31/07/2018 09:32

Another vote for Orla. I like Sophie second as I am really not keen on Grace at all!

BiggerBoat1 · 31/07/2018 09:33

I love them all. Grace is my favourite name ever. Orla is beautiful too.

slovenlys · 31/07/2018 09:35

I think Orla is going to have a (much deserved) comeback!

I love it

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 31/07/2018 09:36

Orla reminds me of Orca the whale.
What about Anna or Iona?

SlimmingMumOf1 · 31/07/2018 09:37

Orla

Lulu1919 · 31/07/2018 09:38

Orla

TatianaLarina · 31/07/2018 09:40

Orla the other two are too popular.

JessieMcJessie · 31/07/2018 09:42

Personally I would think Orla was an odd choice unless you had Irish heritage. I also find it a bit odd that when pronounced with an a English accent you lose the “r” sound, which to me changes the essence of the name.

Grace is pretty but very very common nowadays. Sophie is sweet but a bit bland.

Icklepup · 31/07/2018 09:45

Orla

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 31/07/2018 09:47

Totally agree Jessie. In an English accent to me it doesn't sound good, especially with a broad northern accent!

RhythmStix · 31/07/2018 09:50

Cora
Darla
Marla
Do you like any of those?

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 31/07/2018 10:00

Grace

Sophie is lovely but so common when you include Sophia too.

Tinks15 · 31/07/2018 10:03

Thanks all its so tough, this is out second DD so want it to go with our first DD's name if that makes sense.
Yes I know what your saying @JessieMcJessie however i do have an Irish heritgage, to some people that I've mentioned 'Orla', to they also think it sounds foreign.
@Rhythms - not a fan of those.
@GreatDuckCookery - don't really like either of those.
