Due date today...we have 3 girls names that we like & we've decided we're going to wait until she arrives to name her.

What do you like?

I think Jessie meant the pronunciation of Orla OP. It sounds different with an Irish accent.

deptfordgirl · 31/07/2018 10:20

Grace.

Treaclepie19 · 31/07/2018 10:24

Orla

BonnieLass5 · 31/07/2018 10:27

Grace 100%. It’s popular for a reason.

The other two are just bleugh.

KiplingAngelCake · 31/07/2018 10:48

Orla, with Grace a close second.

Tinks15 · 31/07/2018 11:53

Going to be a difficult one.

Sophie. Derry Girls might make Orla more popular. The thing that puts me off Orla is, it's only ever one typo away from Oral.

ittakes2 · 31/07/2018 11:56

Grace

Camomila · 31/07/2018 11:57

If it were me, Sophie (Though I would use Sophia)

Though seeing as you have Irish heritage I'd go with Orla.

toomanyeastereggsurghh · 31/07/2018 11:57

Really don’t like Orla. Grace is very dull imo. Sophie is my fave out of those 3, it’s a pretty name although i prefer Sophia.

Annabelle4 · 31/07/2018 11:59

Sophie, with Grace as MM

Would you consider Sophia? Just an idea I'm biased

BellMcEnd · 31/07/2018 11:59

Orla. Love it

Tinks15 · 31/07/2018 12:28

Yes I like Sophia it's just we already know a few Sophias so that's what puts me off having it.

I like Grace and Orla but not keen on Sophie

17caterpillars1mouse · 31/07/2018 12:53

Orla

Davespecifico · 31/07/2018 12:56

Sophie because although it’s ubiquitous it’s pretty.
There is probably at least one Grace in every class at the moment.
There are a lot more Orlas around now than there were. I don’t like the sound of it when I say it.

DuggeeHugs · 31/07/2018 15:12

Orla or Sophie

BlahBlahUsername · 31/07/2018 15:12

Grace

MarshaBradyo · 31/07/2018 15:16

Not keen on Orla at all

Sophia or Grace

n0ne · 31/07/2018 15:20

All lovely names but Sophia is too popular at the moment. I'd go with Orla.

LoveInTokyo · 31/07/2018 15:26

I think Orla sounds like oral as well.

What is your other DD's name?

missmouse101 · 31/07/2018 15:29

Orla is the nicest.

Tinks15 · 31/07/2018 15:44

Other DD is Eva

OP posts:
LeeMiller · 31/07/2018 15:56

Sophie

LeeMiller · 31/07/2018 15:56

Orla and Eva are a bit matchy.
