So, I was wondering, what is a boy and girls name you consider good for all ages? From baby to old age? Go..

I’m opening with James.

I read somewhere that James is the only baby name to have remained in the top 20 (England and Wales) for the last 100 years or so.

That’s James as a boys name, in case that’s not obvious.

I like your thinking. One of my children has the name James. I'm looking for a name that suits all ages as my son's are George and James which I think carries them through all ages. I'm also just curious on others thoughts about which names carry someone through.

Tbh I think people grown with their names so I wouldn't overthink it too much OP.

There's loads really but some of my favourites would be:

Boys: Jack, Oliver, Daniel, Jake, Alex

Girls: Anna, Emma, Sophie, Emily, Georgia

I think names that can be shortened and altered depending on the age/ situation that they are used:
Eg. Benjamin: Benji as a baby, Ben as a boy, Benjamin in a job interview.
