Hello,

According to the subject, which do you like best?
Stephen (or Steven?), Simon ...or Sebastian
Which is nicer? I would appreciate hearing your opinion, please?

Thank you Smile

Sebastian!

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 29/07/2018 17:12

Sebastian.

I like Stephen, and normally like short nn, but I hate Steve.

Simon isn’t great for a baby these days.

AudreyBillingham · 29/07/2018 17:13

I like Stephen, but not Steve, not keen on Simon; so Sebastian would win it for me (even though it's a little bit "posh").

mehhh · 29/07/2018 17:13

Sebastian definitely! X

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 29/07/2018 17:35

Simon.

PippilottaLongstocking · 29/07/2018 17:36

Sebastian definitely

Jillyjollyjandy · 29/07/2018 17:37

Sebastian.

The other two are 1/4 of my 80s school classmates.

TatianaLarina · 29/07/2018 18:09

Sebastian by miles.

OlennasWimple · 29/07/2018 18:12

Sebastian is a bit posher

I've not come across a baby Simon or Stephen for years, but I wouldn't be very surprised as they are perfectly nice, normal names

How abut Simeon, sort of putting Simon and Sebastian together?

sluj · 29/07/2018 18:14

Simon.
Can't stand Steve and too many Sebastian around

hungryhippie · 29/07/2018 18:16

Sebastian

Threeandabit · 29/07/2018 20:30

Sebastian

Mousefunky · 29/07/2018 21:14

Sebastian is the only one that doesn’t sound like a middle aged mechanic Grin

userabcname · 29/07/2018 21:15

Sebastian by a mile!

Topseyt · 29/07/2018 21:33

Sebastian for me.

Cherubfish · 29/07/2018 21:35

Sebastian

DaniCam89 · 29/07/2018 21:50

I like Sebastian best. It's the most interesting of the three x

RedDwarves · 29/07/2018 22:19
  1. Sebastian
  2. Simon
  3. Stephen
buttercup54321 · 29/07/2018 22:22

Really don't like Sebastian.
Steven first
Simon next.
Have you thought of Samuel.
I don't like the step hen spelling of the name.

DramaAlpaca · 29/07/2018 22:23

I like Stephen & Simon, both underused classics. Of the two I'd choose Stephen. Neither of the 20-something Stephens I know goes by Steve, so it's not inevitable.

I don't like Sebastian much.

HairyToity · 29/07/2018 22:25
  1. Sebastian
  2. Simon
  3. Stephen
Picknickers · 30/07/2018 00:17

Stephen but I might be biased. I'm married to one 😂

Pemba · 30/07/2018 16:29

I still really like Stephen, even though I know it's not fashionable now - not Steve though, and please spell it properly, not with a 'v'! Second favourite would be Sebastian.

Simon has always seemed a slightly wet name to me for some reason. A Simon goes to Scouts and sings in the church choir (not that there's anything wrong with that I suppose .....).

foxtiger · 01/08/2018 16:26

Stephen (that spelling). Nothing wrong with Steve either, in my opinion - it's just a perfectly normal name for a nice easy-going sort of person.

I kind of like Simon, but not quite as much. I think of it as a quiet studious person's name rather than an outdoorsy person's name, although I've met some who buck the trend.

Sebastian is not my cup of tea. I think it's because the "seb" bit makes me think of various skin complaints!

FlopsyRabbit89 · 01/08/2018 16:58

When I hear the name Sebastian, I always sing in my head that song by Steve Harvey and Cockney Rebels 'somebody called me Sebastian'
Oh and I think of The Little Mermaid
