I'm the Vera lover whose OH bottled it when he told our families and they hated it. We have had lots of arguments over it and the compromise is that it will be baby's mn. What first name would you put with Vera?

Please don't change it if you love it just because of what people think! Exactly this happened to us when dd was born and we announced her name to family, so we changed it before we told anyone else. 2 weeks later I was heartbroken, calling her 'baby' instead of the name, I knew we had to change it to her original name (we hasn't registered her yet). Once baby is here, no one will say anything and that will just be her name. Show this to your dh, we bottled it because of family opinion and really regretted it, luckily we had time to change it back! Our dd name is also an unusual one, but we just love it and since we changed it back, I can't imagine her being anything else! If you love it, thats all that matters. Good luck op

I actually think it works as a middle name for almost anything.

Just choose a name you love. It doesn't need to go with Vera.

Literally any name. I don't think any one name "goes" with it than any other.

I would have Vera as the first name. Don't be put off by other people. Your baby so your choice.
