Interested to hear what others use for pet names for their LO’s

My OH started calling DD Princess from day one and it has unfortunately stuck over her actual name. Blush

What is yours?

My dc have never had their names shortened or nn .
Until ds arrived prem and cried non stop. All wrinkled and complaining like Squidward off Spongebob.
At 4 he is still Squiddy!!

My husband calls our daughter Woo Woo, it started with him, for some reason, adding Woo after her actual name and now it’s just Woo Woo Hmm

Our DS is ‘mouse’

BestIsWest · 21/07/2018 21:38

My dad still calls me princess. I’m 55.

Bobs

No idea where it came from as his name is Oliver Grin

My bump is known as Beanie.

My first bumb was named Art by my mum. That's not his name. My children all have nicknames but many people know them. One that a lot of people outside our family don't know is Toots, it's a shortening of Too-toosie obviously. His name doesn't even start with T or rhyme with toots. My husband is a serial nicknamer, everyone from his country has a nickname.

My DS doesn't have a nn for his actual name, but we have plenty of pet names; Monkey, Monkey Bump, Turtle, Turts, Harleybum (his name isn't even Harley!), Chunk, Baby Boy. I'm sure there's more!

No DCs on whom to exercise my silliness, but I often call my Ddog 'German Bight' as in 'Dogger, Fisher, German Bight' from the shipping forecast Grin. His official name is much more sensible, I hasten to add. Well, you did ask for 'pet names' Grin.
