A sister for Wilhelmina

Our little Willa is going to be a big sister at the end of the year! We just can't think of a fitting name to suit hers.....

Only names started on the list are-
Augustina, nn Augie
Alexandrina, nn Lexi
Clementine, nn Clem? Clemmy?
Robina, nn Bobby
Theodora, Teddy?

Nothing really standing out!?!? Did we just make it too hard? (A boy might have been Montgomery or Huckabee:-(

Augustina and Theodora are lovely!

How about Georgiana (Georgie)or Francesca (frankie)

Augustina, nn Augie - really dislike this, sorry. Esp Augie. The little boy in Wonder is August nn Augie which is a nice link but I just think it sounds so ugly.
Alexandrina, nn Lexi - a bit much. I love Alexandra and like Alexandria but the ina bit just makes it too long for me. Lexi is a cute nn
Clementine, nn Clem? Clemmy - I like Clementine but not your short versions. They sound like phlegm.
Robina, nn Bobby - not keen. Sounds like Robyn gone wrong. If you want Bobby, I'd go for for Roberta or just just Robyn,
Theodora, Teddy - Teddy is very much a boys' name to my ear. Theodora goes well with Wilhemina but I would use Dora for short. Willa and Dora sound cute together.

I second Georgina/Georgie and Francesca/Frankie. They've got the unisex nn vibe while also being pretty, feminine names so your daughter will have the choice of style.

A song for Wilhelmina...

An unusual name so I thought you'd like to hear a song of the same name

Juliana
Beatrix
Maxima

I love a theme

susurration · 27/07/2018 21:23

Augusta is better than Augustina. It's a bit of a mouth full with all of the au sounds otherwise.

Dorothea is nice.

Could you use Minty instead of Clemmie for Clementine? I always think Clemmie sounds like an Std.

susurration · 27/07/2018 21:24

Also Roberta instead of Robina.
