Short edgy girls names?

So I am due in two weeks and still struggling to decide on a name for our baby girl. We both like short names and so far we like either indie or coco... what’s everyone’s thoughts on these names? Also any suggestions are welcome! Thank you!

Just told my dp about this thread

Told him about "coco"

He said "coco the clown 🤡 "!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously think about these poor people when they're adults trying to explain some of these ridiculous names and also children trying to learn how to spell it aswell. I get going for something not in the top 50 baby names but some of these are just a bit daft

I came in here to say Rae, but yes thinking about it, it is rising in popularity and could become the next Ava/Lily/Isla. Not very edgy.

I think June might be due a resurgence. Handmaid's Tale reference, and from the right sort of era to be due to come back into fashion.

Also Jean.

I also like Eve, much cooler than Evie and less ubiquitous.

I know 2 new Adas. I know names come back into fashion but just can't get Les Dawson out of my head when I hear that one!

Same goes for Maud and Ivy.

I love Jean. Both my kids names have been mentioned here (but only once each). I also loved Dora (could be Theodora or Isadora for long).

I know about 3 little Vivi's so that one is rapidly coming back as well- great meaning as well ('full of life').

I had a relative called Edme which you never see- that's a good one too.

Namethecat · 28/07/2018 19:16

Viva pronounced vi va. Knew a girl called that and she was very edgy

I love that deeply old fashioned names like Jean are considered edgy. Though I never have understood MN’s liking of names that went out of fashion for a reason, like Maud and Winifred.

Everyoneiswingingit · 28/07/2018 19:21

I guess it depends on who you relate it too. I am of an age where I had old aunts called Jean, Maud and Ethel. If you're younger, I guess they sound fresh and I bet you've never even heard of Hilda Ogden or Ivy Tillsley!

Everyoneiswingingit · 28/07/2018 19:21
