I can’t work out whether the initials FAB are brilliant or a bit silly. But I love all your names, especially Frederick. If it were me I’d play it safe and go with William as a middle name.

CathyandHeathcliff · 13/07/2018 15:32

@TroubledLichen My partner really likes Arthur! Hmmm I quite like FAB Wink

Frederick Arthur is my favourite. And fab initials...

HeyDolly · 13/07/2018 19:29

FAB is great. FWB (friends with benefits) not so much Grin

MikeUniformMike · 13/07/2018 19:31

Frederick Arthur Beathcliff is well FAB. Fab Freddie.

BigCarrot · 13/07/2018 19:31

Frederick William is lovely, I may be biased as it was my grandads name but I always liked it. I wanted to name our son Frederick but I couldn't get it to work with our surname!

MikeUniformMike · 13/07/2018 20:03

Well I'm not mad on Frederick, but Freddie is popular so it must be good, and I adore a certain (fictional) Frederick Hugo.
I'd save William for DS2.
Frederick William is very nice.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 13/07/2018 20:37

Frederick William.

GossipLady · 13/07/2018 21:30

I have a Frederick Arthur myself so I may be biased! There are a whole load of little Fred’s around at the moment. I knew when I named him that it’s a fairly common name but they’re absolutely everywhere. Most of them have middle name as Arthur too!

RavenWings · 13/07/2018 23:29

Yes, I'm not a fan of having initials FWB either Grin I would choose Arthur.

ReHorsing · 13/07/2018 23:32

You can't use FWB.

TroubledLichen · 14/07/2018 00:16

I definitely didn’t see FWB as friends with benefits! Definitely go for FAB OP Grin

CathyandHeathcliff · 14/07/2018 19:06

He’d be Fred or Freddie for short. The popularity thing is the only part I’m worried about.

I have a Frederic William (with a c not a k). Family names!

Always Frederic to me but increasingly Fred to his friends. Never Freddie except for games teachers.

We love it and it suits him very well. Classic and versatile.
