Lie-lah, Dd has a friend at nursery with the name. I could see it being Lee-lah at a push but definitely not Layla.

HeyDolly · 12/07/2018 12:21

Lil-ah.

Buddyelf · 12/07/2018 12:24

Lie-lah.

My DD is Lay-lah but spelt Layla so if I saw Lilah I wouldn't pronounce the same as DD.

IVflytrap · 12/07/2018 12:25

Lie-lah. As in Delilah.

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 12/07/2018 12:27

Yep

Lie lah

As in delilah Grin

Its a lovely name

NordicNobody · 12/07/2018 13:56

My first instinct was actually "Lee-lah" Blush

Of those options though, definitely "Lie-lah". "Lay-lah" would never have crossed my mind.

MikeUniformMike · 12/07/2018 14:00

Lie-la
Don't like it.
I don't like Layla either but I like Leila. I'm not sure if Leila is Lee-la, Lie-la or Lay-la but I say it Leela.

daisypond · 12/07/2018 14:07

I would say Lie-lah.

Peachbubble · 12/07/2018 14:08

Lie-lah. I like it.

rubyred84 · 12/07/2018 14:13

Lie-lah

Mousefunky · 12/07/2018 14:20

Lie-lah.

It would be Layla or Laila for the other pronunciation.

DaniCam89 · 12/07/2018 16:12

In my scottish accent it sounds more "Lee- Lah" to me lol sorry. x

WinkysTeatowel · 12/07/2018 16:18

I know a Lilah pronounced lee-la but I would pronounce it Lie-la I think

ooobisto · 14/07/2018 05:03

Lie-lah but its nicer spelt Lila imo

RedDwarves · 14/07/2018 10:06

It's lie-lah, like Delilah.

Layla and Leila would be lay-la.

sonnyboo · 14/07/2018 11:09

I'd say Lee-lah

sonnyboo · 14/07/2018 11:17

And Layla is lay-la

StrawberryCat · 14/07/2018 11:20

Lie-la. It's pretty!

Glumglowworm · 14/07/2018 13:36

Lie-lah or lee-lah

Never lay-lah though

OlennasWimple · 14/07/2018 13:39

Lie-la

But I'd either go with Delilah or Lila

Pemba · 14/07/2018 14:32

Lie-lah, it's lovely.

I can see how people sometimes use the Lee-lah pronunciation, though. But Lay-lah wouldn't make any sense.
