I love the name Georgie for a girl. This was number one on my list but we've just found out we are having another boy so it's back to the drawing board!xx

DaniCampbell1989 · 10/07/2018 20:20

I like Georgie. It's cute and uncommon. Not sure how seriously they would be taken as an adult though tbh x

popcorneveryminute · 10/07/2018 20:23

I went to school with a Georgie in the late 90s but haven't come across one since, I think it's a great name

Hippopotas · 10/07/2018 20:42

IMO it’s more of a nickname and may be a bit childish for an adult.

Why not go for George for a boy and Georgia or Georgina for a girl and nn Georgie

bridgetreilly · 10/07/2018 20:54

Choose a proper name and use Georgie as a nickname while they're little.
Georgia
Georgette
Georgiana
Georgina

Wellthisunexpected · 10/07/2018 21:01

Nope. It's a nickname.

Hamletina · 10/07/2018 21:24

As a nickname, fine. Not as a full name though.

BrutusMcDogface · 11/07/2018 04:50

It's a lovely name as a nickname or diminutive, as pps have said. I love Georgia.

HJL2506 · 11/07/2018 06:03

I know 2 Georgie's and that name is on their birth certificates. One is 3, the other is in her late 20's and has a serious job in a hospital and her name has never caused a problem.

I also know one Georgia. Both very pretty names.

Raisinbrain · 11/07/2018 06:10

Agree with others - Georgia is a lovely proper grown up name and Georgie can be her lovely nickname Smile

I like it. Georgina, Georgia or George on BC.
