Marley

Albie

charbarrr · 10/07/2018 07:40

I loveeeeeee both of those names!!!!!

georgiaag · 10/07/2018 08:13

My partner chose Marley and my mother in law chose Albie, my partner wasn’t keen on Albie but is starting to come round and think I love both. How do you choose! Hopefully one will just click when we see him 4 days TIL due date :)

Albie.

charbarrr · 10/07/2018 08:24

Wait until he is born! Then you can see what he suits :) always good to have a couple of options because he might not look like an albie Grin when are you due?

charbarrr · 10/07/2018 08:25

I think I prefer Marley for a girl and albie for a boy :)

Sophronia · 10/07/2018 08:25

Albie

butlerswharf · 10/07/2018 08:30

Definitely Alfie. Marley had already had its moment.

butlerswharf · 10/07/2018 08:31

*Albie

Lycanthropology · 10/07/2018 09:55

Albie sounds like a nickname though... maybe OK for a child, but not a high court judge.
Marley? Meh.

Meeep · 10/07/2018 09:56

Albie.

DontDrinkDontSmoke · 10/07/2018 09:58

Marley is a dog name, like the film.

Or a stoner’s lizard’s name.

Cosmoa · 10/07/2018 10:09

I love them both so much! Don't usually like old fashioned names like Albie but it's was my dear grandfathers name Smile and we had Marley on our short list for our girl!

HJL2506 · 10/07/2018 10:19

Love love love Marley. Doesn't matter if it's associated with a dogs name, my mans dog was called Ben, and people call their kids Milo and Rex!

I'm expecting my DS2 and have loved both of their names for years but if we have a third boy Marley would be a strong contender!!

Also love Marlie for a girl!

HJL2506 · 10/07/2018 10:20

My nan's, not man^ 🙄

LuluJakey1 · 10/07/2018 10:21

They are dog or cat names.

MikeUniformMike · 10/07/2018 13:45

Don't like either of them. Agree with LuluJakey1.

pennycarbonara · 10/07/2018 13:49

Why not call him Albert officially? You can call him Albie as a nickname and as he grows up he has more options for what to call himself - e.g. Albert, Al, Bert, Bertie etc

HappyLollipop · 10/07/2018 13:50

Marley.

SuitedandBooted · 10/07/2018 22:24

They're both just trendy kid's names, - I struggle to imagine somebody middle-aged and serious with either of those.

Marley does remind me of Bob, so I would assume you were a reggae fan Grin ( isn't there a drug called marley??) Also, are you going to put Albie on the BC (I hope not!). You don't know what sort of man he will become. Would many men want to walk into a professional meeting and introduce themselves as Albie Confused
Call him Albert officially, - he will be a grown-up soon enough, and use Albie as a nickname.

pilates · 10/07/2018 22:40

Albie

CanaBanana · 10/07/2018 22:42

Albie is a nickname for Albert, which is better than Marley.

Enidblyton1 · 11/07/2018 15:41

I like both names, but would go with Marley.

It would be ridiculously twee to have a Freddie and an Albie.
