Help me whittle down my long lists!

Which names does everyone like from our very long lists? We have a while yet to decide but just can't agree on anything!

Not Winter, Posy or Piper for a girl. Other girl names are nice.
Not Jude or Tate for a boy, others are better.

Can I throw Harriet and Rowan in the mix? They are high on my list.

Your girls names are lovely, especially Penelope and Audrey. I don't like Meredith and I think Winter and Piper are a bit overdone now.

I don't like Hector - maybe because it's a common here in Spain but I think it's an ugly name. Tate seems very American? Love the others, especially Hugo!

The more American sounding ones are definitely DPs choices! His favourites are Piper and Tate.
It's interesting knowing your opinions though and some lovely suggestions coming up! How does anyone ever choose?!

For a girl I love Piper, Meredith & Audrey- though I would go the Audrina route.

I find that very American names can sound quite 'cheap' on British kids - I know this is not a popular opinion!

I have no idea how you can choose - I think it's good to have a few on hand and then you can decide when you have her/him, I'm sure something will just sound right.

I had a nightmare of picking names that sounded good in both Spanish, Catalan and English, could be easily pronounced in both and had same connotations e.g. Isabella is a lovely name here, but very old fashioned in Spain! Oscar is a gorgeous boys name in the UK and quite middle class I think, but in Spain I was told it's quite chavvy!

And how do you all feel about matching initials? The last name will begin with S. And I think Stanley is my favourite but just not sure if it's too many S's?!

I love Meredith, but none of the others. How about Esther or Louisa?
Elias, Christopher, Dominic, Lawrence for a boy?

Good grief those girl names are awful! The only semi-decent one is piper. Most of the boys names are fine

@TurquoiseWeekend my sister has matching initials! I think it's cool! Although 'SS' does have a slightly sinister tone should you want to monogram anything!

Posy is cute but imo slightly too cute as a full first name/for the bc. But I like Posy and Winter as middle names :)

Piper, Jude and Tate aren't my cup of tea.

As for the initials... I personally like alliterations but Stanley S...? Idk, SS might be the one alliteration I personally wouldn't be too sure about. (I may be overthinking this, btw... Especially if you're adding a middle name.)

Margot is beautiful (completely bias as my 2 year old is called this) we get nothing but compliments on her name and haven't met another.

My favourite are Meredith,Audrey, Jude and Wilfred (I may be biased those as two of those names feature in my own DC names😉 )

Penelope - it's ok. Most Pennys I know are lovely.
Posy - A bit cute
Piper - no.
Audrey - makes me think of Audrey Roberts
