Robin as a middle name

Hi everyone,

Thoughts one Robin as a middle name?

I'm expecting my 2nd son and am thinking of giving him the middle name Robin as our first son was born on Xmas Eve.

Its my grandad and brothers middle names. I quite like it.

I don't get the link of your first son being born on Christmas Eve to calling your second son Robin. Robin has nothing to do with the bird robin and everything to do with the fact that it's a short form of Robert. But even if it did relate to the bird robin, why would you give your second son a name that only relates to your first son?

It’s really grown on me recently, I love it for a girl too!

I think most people will make an association between Robin and the bird you see on Christmas cards. However I don't really get what naming this one Robin has to do with the older lad being born on Xmas Eve. I see a vague Christmas association but it's a bit forced for me. Still,if you like the name Robin use it.

Tbh though I think I can't make a call on a middle name without knowing the first name, they could flow beautifully or be very clunky.
