Sorry it's me again! We've come up with a new list and need some help choosing.

I love Wilfred, I love the variety of names that come from it so DS can choose when he's older, I especially like Wilf and Freddie... DH loved it but has now decided he doesn'tConfused

I also like
George
Grey (only like this spelling)
Alfred (not keen on Alfie though and that's the obvious nn)

DH likes
Arthur
Percy
William (his name)
Gray (only likes this spelling)

I do like Freddie and DH says he does too (for nowGrin) but I think I would want a 'proper' name on the BC and I'm not a fan of Frederick so not sureHmm
Any suggestions on names we both might like??

I like George from your list and Arthur and Gray from your husbands.

Frankie
Vinnie
Stanley?

MrsMrsMrsMrs · 08/07/2018 20:38

Have Alfred on birth certificate and then call him Freddie

MrsMrsMrsMrs · 08/07/2018 20:39

Robert - Bertie

BendydickCuminsnatch · 08/07/2018 20:41

Albert - Bertie
Wilbur

Belindabauer · 08/07/2018 21:40

I like Grey best but make sure it goes with your surname and does describe something e.g. Grey Cook.

dancingunicorns123 · 09/07/2018 00:02

@Belindabauer surname is Attwell😊

@BendydickCuminsnatch I do like Albert and Wilbur, I'll bring them up thanks!

George - nice
Grey/Gray - for some reason this has always seemed a bit try hard imo
Alfred - noooo
Wilfred - noooo
Arthur - nice
Percy - wet imo
William - ok. I don't like it, but nothing wrong with it

Alfred nn Freddie makes a lot of sense for you. However he might choose to be Alfie in future, so you'd need to be ok with that!

SheldonandPenny · 09/07/2018 00:08

Another vote for Freddie with Alfred on the BC

dancingunicorns123 · 09/07/2018 19:33

Not too keen on using Alfred to be honest!

MikeUniformMike · 09/07/2018 19:41

Pretty much the same as RavenWings.
George - nice
Grey/Gray - no
Alfred - no
Wilfred - no
Arthur - not sure
Percy - Pig
William - ok.

Not keen on Freddie.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 09/07/2018 19:46

George Wilbur Attwell.💙

dancingunicorns123 · 09/07/2018 19:51

@Sugarpiehoneyeye I like it!!Grin

OP posts:
Belindabauer · 09/07/2018 19:56

I wouldn't choose Albert as it is a reference to something.

dancingunicorns123 · 09/07/2018 19:57

Brought up George with DH and he said it's too popularSad

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 09/07/2018 20:03

You could use Graham/Graeme and have Gray as a NN?

Icklepup · 09/07/2018 20:11

Francis
Henry

dancingunicorns123 · 09/07/2018 20:23

@LadyMonicaBaddingham thank you but we both decided we really don't like Graham!

Zoflorabore · 09/07/2018 20:36

How about Grayson/Greyson? Nn Gray/Grey?

Trinnidad · 09/07/2018 22:09

Sounds a bit of a mouthful but I have come across some men called Grenville who are known as Grey/Gren. Probably wouldn’t be many in his class!

dancingunicorns123 · 09/07/2018 22:22

My mum has a dog called Grenville @Trinnidad

I like your DH’s choices although naming the child after yourself is always egotistical and weird.

I’d go with Percy or Arthur personally. Gray is better than Grey as a name.

firsttime17 · 10/07/2018 16:49

What about Greyson? One of my favourite names if I have another boy one day! X

TatianaLarina · 10/07/2018 17:36

I don’t think any of those names work that well with your surname. Other than William which is DH‘s name? A name that ends with a consonant would work better.
